Rosewood Beijing — Hotel in Beijing

I booked the Rosewood suite for my grandmother and mum’s birthday. I am impressed that the Rosewood Beijing team understood what this stay means to me and my grandma and went out of their way to make the stay a memorable one. I feel very fortunate to have chosen Rosewood Beijing and would like to express my sincere gratitude. I hope more guests can experience a beyond 5 star hotel stay with them. I had good experience staying with Rosewood Hong Kong previously but felt the service we received at Rosewood Beijing exceeded that of Hong Kong in that it was not only professional but also thoughtful.

During booking process, Miss Guo of booking department explained in details different room types in order to help me select one that is convenient for elderly. She also took the initiative to suggest other amenities which added to the comfort of my grandma (e.g. wheelchair, chair in shower). Miss Only Lv of reception provided supreme concierge service and followed through all issues during the stay (e.g. humidifier, kettle, flower and cake arrangement). Miss Lv and her department head also mentioned this stay with hotel’s general manger who instructed all staff to provide extra assistance throughout. We were visited, greeted and helped by the GM, GM assistant, department head, customer relationship, concierge, restaurant managers and many other kind staff. My grandma felt very spoiled and really cherished the opportunity to be treated like a VIP at the age of 96.

The hotel itself is tastefully decorated and well maintained and Christmas deco added extra charm. The suite is almost 80 sqm and is very spacious both in guest room and bathroom. There is no issue accommodating two guests in the standing shower and bath tub area. The suite is facing CCTV building and has excellent view day and night. The Peking duck at Country Kitchen (remember to reserve!) is a must try and is probably one of the best (if not the best) among the ones we’ve tried in Beijing. Dim sum in The House of Dynasties is Hong Kong Michelin star Cantonese restaurant standard. The suite comes with access to the Executive Club and both afternoon tea and cocktails are of good quality.

After a bit of an eventful booking process that the hotel quickly rectified, we arrived at the hotel in April with our two small children in tow. ||Check-in was smooth, but I was a bit surprised when we weren't taken to our room and given a tour as is usually standard at these hotels, instead we were led to and dropped off at the elevator, no big deal but it kind of threw us off. ||We had booked a Manor suite connecting to a twin Premier room and the way this is done is not a door between two rooms, but instead two corner rooms that have a greater door in the general hallway that connect them by leaving both bedroom doors open and shutting the extra door in the hallway. |This was a bit confusing for us, as it wasn't setup upon our arrival, and since we weren't led to our room, we were left to our own devices to figure out how to set up the doors etc, it would have been nice had it been already set up for us, or if someone came up to do it for us.||The rooms themselves were generously appointed, with amenities for us and special ones for our children. The rooms were both immaculately clean, which is not that common in luxury hotels in Beijing so big plus here!||Hot chocolate and panda plushies were left for our kids, which was greatly appreciated and a lovely souvenir for their first visit to China. Letters to both our kids and to us separately were also written which was a sweet touch.||My only qualm with the rooms themselves would be that the beds are rock hard, as if a wooden board had been put in. It would be nice if they offered the same beds as the HK location or if there's an option to change this.||Unfortunately our days were packed so we never had an opportunity to try the Manor Club, but our stay has convinced us that, regardless of the need of some polishing, that the Rosewood will be our hotel of choice during our future visits to Beijing so there will be plenty of...

Rosewood hotels are truly synonymous with luxury and quality, and our stay in Beijing was no exception. We spent 3 nights here and we have to say that the level of service and comfort was absolutely excellent. The rooms are newly equipped, with a modern and elegant design, and you can see that the hotel really cares about them. They were spacious, beautiful and maintained to a high standard, which we appreciated every day of our stay. The bathroom was not only beautifully designed, but also large and practical.||A very pleasant service was the cleaning, which took place twice a day - in the morning and in the evening. This ensured that we always returned to a spotlessly clean room and felt as comfortable as possible. It's one of the details that really adds to the feeling of luxury and guest care.||The location of the hotel is another big advantage – it is right in the center of the city, so all the main sights were within easy reach. The proximity to the metro, which was literally around the corner, allowed us to comfortably explore the whole city without the stress of traffic.||During our stay we also tried the hotel spa, which was beautifully decorated and very luxurious. We spent several pleasant evenings in the hotel bar - the menu was varied, including quality cocktails, and the staff were always attentive and professional. We would also like to highlight the breakfasts which were perfect. The buffet offered a wide selection of fresh and quality dishes, from traditional Asian cuisine to classic European dishes.
