Taiyue Heights Hotel — Hotel in Beijing

My flight arrived at 4am in Beijing which I was super tired and expected to have a nice room to sleep. When I opened the room, I was very shocked! This is not a hotel!!!!! The door of bathroom couldn’t close and I wouldn’t call it as bathroom! This was horrible how can you make toilet and shower all together in this tiny place and the door couldn’t close when you shower. Also, The room didn’t have appropriate curtain to cover the light and air conditioning was not strong enough to cool down the room. The front door didn’t have a lock for you to lock inside which means everyone is easily to break in when you were sleep. Come on! How can you sleep well in this kind of condition. Got a large family room, with 2 bedrooms. The decor is aged and some upgrading needed. Check-in procedure was smooth, but the staff were not very friendly.Beds are comfortable and clean, but hard by Western standards.||||Tried the breakfast, but it was an event that you can skip. Mainly catering to Chinese taste, but even then, the food supply was small and slow, quality was not good - very cheap stuff. Dining area was extremely small (enough for 10-20 people only). You can better get a room without breakfast, and get something better down the road. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, so not a worry.||||The internet is free, but you have to get the WIFI password through WeChat. So, download WeChat before you check-in...

The room was nice enough but my whole experienced there got soured after I'd handed in washing (incl. some really expensive Italian shirts) which they must've mislaid somehow, let's say... In the end they insisted I didn't give them any washing! Front desk either all can speak English or for multiple shifts, none at all, which turns simple requests like finding out about your washing or getting a taxi into you having to be Marcel Marceau - mind-boggling staff scheduling.
