Great Hotel Beijing — Hotel in Beijing

My friend and I stayed in one of the suites and I have to say, in all of Beijing, it was best for it's price. The location is very convenient. There's a world famous congee shop right inside the hotel and a 711 super market a minute walk away from the hotel. We were mainly there to play and go shopping, and it was great! The high way was right next to the hotel and it took seconds to get a taxi cab. The service was great and it was very clean. I would definitely go back again! I especially enjoyed the door man. He was always polite and ready to great people! Also, there's a spa about 5min cab ride away, which the hotel some times offer coupons to. It is great after a day of shopping and going to clubs! Stayed here for two nights with a friend. I booked directly through the website http://www.greathotelbeijing.com/ & only required to pay about USD2.20 for deposit. Checking in was smooth & easy. I chose the hotel because I've to go to CIEC (China International Exhibition Center), which is so conveniently located nearby, just a walking distance. The standard room is average in size, very clean and well furnished. I don't take breakfast because it's not Halal so I've no idea about the food quality. ||||But overall, I'm very satisfied with the hotel, highly recommended for those who need to...

Rated 4stars clean spacious room, king size bed mattress & pillows firm & comfortable. Buffet breakfast normal but have no halal menu beside bread, pastries & salads. Menu quite routine like noodles, porridge, fried rice etc.. nothing special. Room toilet layout with glass doors opening both ways & inside panel segregating toilet bowl & shower a little cramp. No sprinkler beside toilet bowl is a minus on facilities. Surrrounding the hotel only have 1 big mall, with no halal eatries...
