Visited on August 2023. Stayed for 4nights.Location is not ideal. Its 15-30mins walk to either train stations. No straight path. Nearest shopping mall of any repute is 25mins walk away. Good thing is its vlose to a row of economical eateries that serves a wide variety of cuisines: from local to European. Convenient stores and massage spas nearby. Reception staff is generally polite and professional. Their command of English is not strong, but they tried to be as helpful as possible. They always booked my car rides for me when I asked them to. Pet friendly hotel..i cane across a few dogs going to the rooms. One of them is huge mixed.Room is spacious with lots of storage spaces. Fittings are a bit dated. They are undergoing scheduled renovations, so hopefully it will be better. Housekeeping staff are polite, but expect very little English. Gym: air-conditioning control is not working. The equipment is old. There's a cat den right outside the window tho..so if you are a cat lover, there's lots of purry little ones playing in the garden space outside. Cafe: its converted from one of the rooms..not a full cafe. Breakfast is whatever they have. Almost the same everyday. Toast, hard boil eggs, porridge, and a selection of...
Read moreA hotel located in a "messy" area of Beijing. 4 stars I believe is definitely at least one too many for this hotel. Pleasant check in, but unpleasant check out, when the receptionist only gave us 300 of our 600 paid deposit yuan back. The 600 yuan deposit was in the envelope, but she only took out 300 of these and gave it to us. Only after we told her that we had paid 600 yuan, she took out the remaining 300... The room was big, and even though we got a room upgrade when chhecking in, the shower was in such a miserable condition that we chose to shower in the bathtub. The breakfast is the "poorest" I have experienced in my entire time as a hotel guest in China. The breakfast room was in a small hotel room on the 3rd floor and consisted of 6 small tables, boiled eggs, broccoli and cauliflower, a few pieces of sausage, toast, fried rice, powdered juice...
Read moreThe hotel upgraded us to apartments in a condominium nearby. The apartments are very spacious, well equipped, secured, and clean. The location is a distance away to the city centre, but with private transport, there's no issue. Nearby the hotel there're some shops, and a row of eateries with local food and local prices. The reception desk staff especially Sunny, Tina and Rebecca are warm, helpful, and responsive. Compliments to their excellent service. The only negative point is the breakfast which is outsourced to an adjacent cafe - the variety should be improved. We took the breakfast only once, and make our own in the apartments for the rest...
