Huanghe Jingdu Grand Hotel （South Gate） — Hotel in Beijing

The 1st thing I saw while coming in from the entrance is the 3 statues 'Fu Lu Shou' which 'wow' me. There is a really big garden with a mini farm for goose and roosters. ||||The room make me impressed as I was given a larger room due to no rooms available. The bed is comfy, and there is a computer to use. Please refer to my pics... There is also a walk-in area to the shower area and toilet. The shower area n toilet are separated by a wall. The TV has more than 30 channels! Everything is great! ||||The wifi is very weak. The free bucket of water given to room guests does not have a Cover for it! Which means, it is accessible to bacteria. ||||The buffet breakfast is average. They have a salad bar and a chinese cuisine area. The drinks they have are Hot soya milk, Hot ORANGE JUICE and Hot lemon water. Everything is hot.. I was surprised. The utensils are not very clean. There was once the table ran out of spoons. I approached one of the staff, and she immediately went to get it from under the table. It looks so dirty and dusty. I have no choice but to get it since I need it. ||One night, I was hungry, and I saw a brochure stating that there is a 24 hour room delivery service. Therefore, I called the reception, and was directed here n there. In the end, I was told that they are closed and everyone has finished work. Then why still put it on the brochure? Imagine if you are hungry, and all you can eat is the BEEF cup noodles in the room which is payable. Especially if you don't take beef. A word of advice: It is highly recommended to be extremely full before you turn in for the night as there is no food. ||||Most important thing which I am dissatisfied about this hotel is, one day I woke up and saw the tap water became YELLOW and Brownish in color! Seriously an awful experience. In the course of two months I stayed at three different rooms, and all of them where always really badly cleaned and with a foul smell. Also, the food at the buffet was always cold and in a bad state, which left me with stomach problems. And not a single person at the recoetion desk spoke english, which is unexpected for a so called international hotel. Avoid it...
