It's a 1 km walk (15 min) from exit B of the Tiantandongmen metro station on line 5. The performance is filled with culture, music, kung-fu and dance. It's an energetic, visually stunning show. There's some visual interpretation to follow the story which describes the journey of a boy to become a Kung Fu master. The spoken story is told in English and there is a red neon board that scrolls an introduction to each scene. Honestly, I missed the intros because the neon board sits at the top of the stage. Read the story-line before going, and you'll appreciate it more.

Read moreThe theater itself is amazing. The stage is big, large auditorium and great number of audience. There was a lot of usage of lighting, sound and other modern technique to make the audience spellbound. As we all know kungfu is one of the ancient art of China, it is quite natural that the Chinese will so eager to showcase this art. But unfortunately the story of the play was too stale. There was nothing new. We went there to see the art of kung fu but we saw everything except kung fu. There was lots of emotion, dance, lighting but too little action which can show the art of kung fu. I think the amount of money that I spent there could be used to do...
Read moreThis theatre was not as fancy as I was expecting but a very good experience was had here. The only English friendly shows on, were the Kung Fu and also the Sichuan Acrobats. Brilliant. A great way to get immersed into Chinese culture. The stage was spacious and I think it's a good view no matter where you get your seat. The seats were a bit on the old side but not uncomfortable. The whole auditorium part actually seems dated, but the lobby area looks classier. If you are early for your show, you can sit and wait in either of the 2 long side rooms, where you might see performers practising. Overall, it is worth coming here to...
