Park Hyatt Beijing: A Sky-High Sanctuary in the Heart of the CBD The Park Hyatt Beijing is more than just a hotel; it's a statement of modern luxury and unparalleled views, perched high above the bustling streets of Beijing's Central Business District. From the moment you arrive, the sense of sophisticated calm and impeccable service is immediately apparent. The design and ambiance are truly breathtaking. Ascending to the lobby on the upper floors, you're greeted with expansive vistas of the city skyline, a recurring theme throughout the hotel. Our room was a masterclass in contemporary elegance – spacious, meticulously clean, and featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that offered stunning panoramic views, especially at night. The comfortable furnishings and thoughtful amenities ensured a truly relaxing stay. The service at Park Hyatt Beijing is, as expected, exemplary. Every member of the staff we encountered was polished, professional, and genuinely attentive. From seamless check-in to proactive assistance with requests and insightful local recommendations, they consistently went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Dining at the Park Hyatt Beijing is an experience in itself. China Grill, with its spectacular 360-degree views, offers an unforgettable fine dining experience. The breakfast buffet was an extensive and delicious spread of international and local delicacies, providing the perfect start to each day. The quality of food and the service in all dining venues were consistently superb. And of course, the location is fantastic for business travelers and those wanting to be in the heart of modern Beijing. Directly connected to the Beijing Yintai Centre, it offers convenient access to high-end shopping and dining. While not in the historical hutongs, it provides easy access to the subway for exploring all of Beijing's iconic sights. The hotel's facilities, including the beautiful indoor pool with its city views, are also top-notch. If you're seeking a luxurious, high-rise haven with incredible views, world-class service, and convenient access to Beijing's modern pulse, the Park Hyatt Beijing is an outstanding choice. It truly elevates your experience of this dynamic city. #LetsHoparound www.hoparound.co

It was my worst Hyatt experience ever. - Mold: There were visible mold spots in the shower, which is a serious health hazard and completely unacceptable for a hotel, especially a Park Hyatt. - Stains: The carpet had large, noticeable stains, giving the room a dirty and unkempt appearance. - Worn-out Furnishings: The cabinet was clearly worn out and in need of replacement or refinishing. Furthermore, I was dissatisfied with the service I received. When I brought these issues to the attention of the hotel staff, I did not feel my concerns were treated seriously. It was only after I contacted the Hyatt Globalist line that I received any real attention to the matter. We were moved to another room the second day. The second room was cleaner, but still not clean enough. It had big dirty spots on the floor of the toilet room, and stains on the carpet, etc. The toilet was clogged one day, and after the cleaning lady fixed it, she washed her hands without soap and used the guest towel to wipe her hands. I recommend to not trust their towels. The bar service was also very bad. My husband had stomach issues so we only ordered 2 drinks among 3 people. The waitress rolled her eyes and said "just 2?". We didn't receive any service after that. Our water was not refilled after that. While I appreciate the gesture of offering bathroom samples and a box of chocolates as compensation when we checked out, this is wholly inadequate considering the substandard condition of the room and the initial dismissive response from the staff. They offered a few thousands of points later after negotiating. I declined that as well as it's so inadequate for this experience. Best advice, do not stay there.

Hyatt Park like all the luxury hotels of the chain. Amazing hotel with 98 floors. The hotel is more of a business hotel than for travelers. The first floors are offices and the upper floors are hotel rooms. As usual, as in all the chain hotels, there is an elevator entrance to the reception area and from there another elevator to the rooms. And a strange and tiring perish of the hotel. The rooms are excellent and very large with open space for shower and toilet. Can be closed with windshield or with wooden windows. The toilets are completely automated and an amazing thing. Entering the lid goes up, finishes the toilet is flushed and the lid goes down. There are more features of thorough cleaning etc. The restaurant is on the top floor of the hotel. Very varied food, not only Chinese but also Western and edible food. The view is spectacular over the whole city, from here you can see the new area of the city and the Forbidden City. Very convenient access by subway to the city directly from the hotel. The area is safe and clean. Amazing gym with a view from the 93rd floor, pool inside the complex, indoor infinity. Locker service and possibility to store belongings for late departure. The service is nothing like Hyatt.

I have stayed here almost every time I come to Beijing since its opening. Over the years the hotel has gotten older but so did its service and up keep.

During my most recent stay of four nights I have had a few observations which I would like to point out:

The first room I got reeked of cigarettes to a point I felt nauseous. I contacted the front desk and they were nice to switch me to a lower floor (from high floor room I paid for to a larger room on the lowest 37th floor). The layout in the larger room was pretty bad, where the sink was secluded, and the shower was facing the closet. The windows were small, albeit with more sides and therefore more views of the street. The room was not kept well, there were broken solar panels in the corner of the bathroom. I didn’t ask to move again simply because I didn’t want to keep on switching rooms

The hallway would smell like smoke every morning I left for meetings and every day when I got back from meetings. For a nonsmoking hotel, this has not been handled well.

The aircon was weak to nonexistent. Lobby was a pleasant temperature and Beijing has been scorching hot. My hotel room displayed a constant temperature of 28 throughout the day and night, no matter how low I turned the control panel by the bed. As the hotel is fitted with down duvet and lined with down lining, I would wake up in sweats constantly at night.

I ordered room service twice during my stay. Once I ordered a club sandwich, after calling guest service asking where the food is after 40 min, the food was finally delivered. The sandwich was cut into 4 pieces, one of them had the bottom slice of bread missing completely, and the others were loosely put together by picks. Not sure what went on there.

Last but not the least, I noticed the coffee cups if not all cups in my room were never replaced during my entire stay. Which means either they wash it with water in my room and wipe it with whatever they had at their disposal, or simply just wiped the cups and put them back. None of which is acceptable for a Park Hyatt. I know the cups were never replaced because there was one coffee cup with a very distinct crack in the middle and I deliberately used it for coffee every day. I would then wash my cups again and wiped them down with alcohol wipes every day.

There are observations here and there but those were the main issues I had with the hotel. Such a pity to see this as I loved the hotel for many years. But there are plenty of other great choices in the area which are newer if travelling, so will try...

We stayed here 1 night and overall had a short but really nice stay. Patrick the concierge deserves 5* himself as he was exceptionally helpful with organising a car to take us to jinshanling Great Wall & also a car to take our luggage to the hotel on our arrival at the train station so we were free to head straight to the Forbidden city. He kept in communication with us and checked in to make sure we had arrived ok. We honestly couldn’t have seen as many sites without his help. He is a real asset to the hotel. ||We had a couple of issues but I do think it’s important to point out that these issues were sorted very quickly by staff, which does speak to the excellent quality of the service. ||Issue 1: the first room we were given smelt very strongly of smoke (clearly some silly guest before us hasn’t abided by the no smoking rules). We couldn’t stand it so we requested to move rooms. We were moved within 30 minutes which was great, and an excellent response from staff. It is disappointing that housekeeping didn’t pick up on this as it really wasn’t a room fit for putting guests in at that time. ||Issue 2: we couldn’t order room service through the TV / app as it wasn’t working. Housekeeping came straight up to help but couldn’t figure it out either, so we ended up translating our order over the phone, which ended up being no problem. The food itself was great quality. ||Issue 3: there was a mix up at checkout and staff tried to double-charge us for our trip to the Great Wall. Another staff member came to help but this did delay us by about 20 minutes. ||I think it reflects really positively on the staff and the hotel how the problems we encountered were dealt with, but I can’t give 5* to a hotel that puts guests in a room stinking of smoke. ||Other than that, our room (a king bed with CBD views) was very well appointed and felt really comfortable, we really loved the open plan layout & the amenities were spot on. The bar had great cocktails and fantastic views. The food from room service was really good. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that. The location is very convenient being in the Yintai Centre and with direct access to the subway. ||If our room had been right first time this would have no doubt been 5*. An unfortunate situation which I’m sure is an uncommon occurrence. Still a lovely place to stay and we...
