Came here in a field trip with young children. The tunnel going through the large tank was amazing. Most of the animals seemed to be doing as well as those at any other aquarium, however a few few so bad it ruined the entire trip. Each of the tanks for the nurse shark, sea turtles and sea lion were so small it broke my heart to see them like that. Any where holding wildlife will suffer from a lack of space, but the tanks for those animals were ridiculously small. The nurse shark and sea lion constantly moved in circles in their tanks and the turtles simply floated on the surface. I asked the guide if they stay in those tanks the entire day and he confirmed they did and guessed I thought the tanks were too small. It was something you might expect to see 40 years ago. The enclosures were way too small for the animals and you could see they were depressed - circling or swaying; the sea lion was just sat still shivering. It was 150yuan to enter which was way too expensive for how small the aquarium actually is. The only thing that was decent was the tunnel as it looked like there was enough space for the fish in there - but even still they had some bigger sharks that were just laying on the sand not moving.
