Asia International Hotel — Hotel in Guangzhou City

We booked a room here for four days during the Canton Fair. The staff helped us bring our luggage to the room, and the men at the taxi stands were also always helpful. The room size was decent.

Now to the negatives: The furniture and interior are at least 30 years outdated. There was mold in the shower and the showerhead was worn out. Our neighbors were smokers, while we are non-smokers. Placing non-smokers next to smokers makes absolutely no sense to me. The hallways constantly smelled like smoke as well.

In the Arabic café near the entrance, people smoked while eating – an absolute no-go for me. The breakfast buffet was very basic and boring: just eggs, waffles, and children’s cornflakes. Having to eat that every day was tiring and frankly disgusting.

Also, the clientele consisted almost exclusively of Arab men and Indian men. As a woman, I did not feel comfortable at all here. I would not recommend this place to any woman – it felt like some of these men had never seen a woman before. I really had to be cautious quite often.

And considering this is supposed to be a business hotel, the internet was an absolute disaster. You couldn’t even use WhatsApp or Google – literally nothing worked. Completely unacceptable for a place catering to...

The shower tap run hot water, unable to adjust to warm water. After long verrifying with the hotel staff, they agreed to change us to another room. ||They directed to us to another "non-smoking" room. But it smell with heavy cigarette smell and there's ash tray on the table. How can they insisted to lie to us that is a non smoking room?||Another incident, we booked through them the " hotel transport" to airport for the next day morning 7am meeting at lobby. We made the full payment on the day before. They told us there will be a morning call maybe 10 mins before to remind us to come down for the transport. But, no morning call receive the next day, we reached 7am exact at the lobby with no sight of the transport. Hotel staff told us the driver lost/miss his way to hotel. How can the driver dont know the way to hotel? Isnt it the hotel transport? ||The staff continue to tell us to wait for another 10 mins for the driver to come. But 15 mins past, still no sight of the car. After we went to confront the staff, he then told us he called another transport for us. ||So dishonest. |We then get to know for the driver that the transport doensnt belong to the hotel. Its just like a normal on spot taxi/...

Asia international hotel, This is the place to stay if you want a real feel for the warmth & charm of Rome & its people instead of a cold impersonal hotel. The owners & staff make you feel like part of their family and give wonderful support in every need of your visit ex. tours.& transportation. They speak very good English and their breakfast & coffee are excellent and will accommodate any request if possible. Excellent location, superb services, helpful staff, waht else do you need? Will definitely come again to this place. Very satisfied with the cleanliness of the hotel, the size of the room, the helpfulness of the staff at the front desk (all of them during our stay), they even go out of their way to guide you through the places to visit in Rome. The breakfast was to our expectation. The area is central even if one wishes to walk around. The only thing is that the room is hot, does not have enough light and no air comes in even if you open the window as it is sourrounded...
