It was beyond expectation! I made a rush booking through bookingcom without first reading any review. My only concern to choose this hotel was mainly distance to the PWTC expo. After the booking was made and I was about going only I have got the chance to read reviews, and it shocked me for how many bad review about this hotel. So I was very upset and thinking to change hotel after arriving at Guangzhou. However, after landing I still went to thw hotel just to make sure, and what I see and experience was an awesome and cozy accommodation for people visiting the PWTC expo! Totally beyond expectation!||So I finally decided to stay there! The room I stayed was at 12th floor and it was a clean and comfortable one, unlike what has been described in other reviews. Check-in was smooth and easy, and the room was ready. ||Bed was good, not too soft nor too hard, I like it very much. The airconditioning was comfortably cooling the room and the bathroom has good pressure and ample of hot water.||The room setup is very suitable for business people, except room lighting was a bit dim. There are enough power outlets to have all of my gadget and computer charged. Also they have a safe at every room.||There was a minibar but you have to get the supplies yourself from a small shop nearby. Water boiler was also available, but no coffee nor tea to boil. Get the supply from the shop next to the hotel, which opens 24 hours.||The coffee shop serves simple lunchband dinner menu, but they were delicious! Breakfast was served in buffet, Chinese style, not American breakfast. Well the hotel was mostly occupied by Chinese travelers from outside of Guangzhou.||The staff was nice and very helpful although language is a slight problem. They speak some English. ||Internet was available, but don't...
Read moreThis hotel will not make it to anyone's 5-star list, but this is not what they are advertising either.|| ||Instead, they are a decent, affordable mid-tier hotel with generous hot showers, neat beddings and a kettle in your room. If you are here for the Fair, then it is a walking distance, meaning that the taxi fare that you will save should add up nicely to the very decent room rate that they charge.||||The staff do not speak much English but they are very efficient and make an effort to understand you.||If you're new to the city you may need to decide if its worth it to pay the 500Yuan taxi charge if the hotel arranges your airport transfer (it should be no more than 250 if you took a cab yourself, and even less if you can figure out the metro).||||All in all, a decent clean hotel in a quiet and orderly part of town, close to the expo and close to some really good hotels (Westin, Langham and such) so for the bargain traveler with nothing to prove, i would...
Read moreLocation - Guangzhou means Canton Fair - and this property is around 12 to 15 min walk to the fair. Superb location.||||Rooms||1. Very dim light. So if you want to work, go down to the coffee shop. But ensure to cover your legs otherwise you’ll come back with big mosquito bites.||2. Washrooms not cleaned properly.||3. Mosquitoes - nice big ones.||4. Beds are decent but the entire room feels like a depressing hospital.||5. Curtains not cleaned - dirty.||||We checked in the room door would’nt lock. Tried 4 times - no luck. Got a change of room but the room was not cleaned. All this happening at 11.30 p.m. I understand such things happen but the overall quality of the room and hotel make me feel such things can happen more here than any other hotel.||||Staff very friendly - but they cant do much about the quality...
