I was told that this place was renovated in Aug 2018 so we get to enjoy the newly renovated camp site.
It is manned from 8a.m. to 11pm. Gate will be closed afterwards.
Meals provided by the canteen is very decent, compared to some other camp sites we've been. Fried chicken or chicken wings looked freshly cooked.
We went in early Dec but there are still renovation going on. The adventure park is not ready. The camp fire site is blocked. But basketball field and badminton court are available. So is function rooms and outdoor theatre.
I don't know if their rooms come with different sizes. We stayed in rooms that cater 8 people. One room has 4 bunk beds, one toilet, 2 sinks and 2 shower cubicles. 4 plastic cups in each sink. There is no TV in the room.
We can see WiFi box but we were not given any password.
There's air-conditioning in the room but as we went in December air-conditioning wasn't turned on. The ceiling fan is enough for 20C weather.
There are hot and cold water stations at the corridors.
There are lifts to the rooms and there are disabled toilets.
At the High Block, there is an exhibition of the history of the camp. You will see porcelain pillows, old milk jug and other provisions that were once used in this camp. It's very interesting.
All in all, it's well managed but they haven't finished renovating it and things like food kiosk and outdoor cafe are not serving...
Read moreI was at a school camp and the camp instructor said that I was talking while I was mouthing. And she was speaking. I think this is disrespectful and I would like you to note that. Apart from that, I think the habitat and activities are ok. Please note that I went on Anti-Bullying week and I am still not comfortable with the camp instructor (a girl) telling me to admit what I didn’t do. And IDK why but at an activity we won a boy group 2 times out of 3 but they still put us in second place. Finally, my school is KCIS=Kiangsu Chekiang International...
Read moreI have been staying in this camp for many MW Outdoor programs and I am happy to recommend HKPA as one of the best accommodation / logistic locations in MW. It has amazing rooms (4 bunk beds, one toilet, two hot water showers and plenty of room to keep personal items for few days), and good space to do activities around the camp. Its so close to the beach and a walk to the town and ferry pier. Only challenge I see is, less verity of food choice and the transportation to the camp is by walking or biking. Other than that, this...
