Noah's Ark Hotel and Resort — Hotel in Hong Kong

Useless resort… Noah ark is not fit to be called a “resort” or “hotel”. Literally stealing HK$1400 /night from customer and not providing even the basic facilities.||HK$1400 (1277 + tax 128) per Night for Deluxe Double room is already a significantly high price and you get nothing in return!! If you have any shame then you should offer partial refund otherwise you are absolutely shameless resort!!!||||1) upon arrival , NO staff present to help take the luggage from car to lobby and then to the room. The child in the family had to carry the luggage. This is a very basic features of a resort / hotel and Noah’s ark is so SHAMELESS to not provide this!!! What’s the reason?? Are your staff too bloody lazy??? Or are they some arrogant princess and prince who don’t want to help with luggage ?||Or did you simply not hire enough staff so that you can save costs ??||||2) No hand soap near the wash basin in the bathroom. When asked reception, they gave a STUPID reply that there is shower gel in the shower area. So if one needs to wash hands in wash basin, then need to go into the shower area??? You people don’t know how to run a resort / hotel!!! ||||3) for the hand wash soap- the reception also said you can buy it from them!!! So they intentionally don’t provide hand soap so that they can make money by forcing customer to pay for it!!! Hand soap is supposed to be included in the room rate/fee!!!||||4) not a single water bottle in the room !!! And when asked the reception they said you can take the kettle in the room and fill it from the water cooler near reception. The large kettle doesn’t fit into the small area near the tap of the cooler. So at best you can fill maybe half of the kettle. What a stupid arrangement ??? Did the staff ever think about it that the kettle cannot fit into the water cooler???||Also reception said if you want bottled water then can buy from reception. This is literally stealing money from customer !!! If you really wanna squeeze the customer for bottled water then at least have the decency to provide couple of bottles for the first time!!! And if customer has used up those bottles then maybe you can ask them to pay for more bottles.||Otherwise what exactly are you charging $1400 / night for? When you can’t even provide couple of bottles of water , and no hand soap and none of your lazy staff present to help with luggage. What if it’s a woman with baby…. The size of the two double beds room is very spacious and the beds are big and comfortable. The room comes with two bathrooms (two separated toilets and shower areas) thus it is more than enough for a family of four. However, the room doesn't have enough racks for hanging clothes and area for placing the baggage. Therefore, it's hard to organise the belongings. As we come in winter season, the tiles flooring is too cool to walk on without slippers. However, the room's air condition provides warm air thus, you still feel fine. The hotel provides board games, snookers and TV games for rental - HK$100 for three hours Monopoly sounds over charged, finally, our family played free online UNO by our own devices! The disappointing part to me is some staff is not very friendly within the hotel. When you met the staff in a cold attitude at a very cold place, you felt extra cold. I think they can make guests more welcome if the staff, especially the cashiers in the Harvest restaurant, changes the attitude. The hotel sits at the beautiful Ma Wan facing the Tsing-Ma bridge, the view is fascinating. There are many very good quality restaurants with very serving and kind waiters/waitresses at the Park Island building which is 10 seconds adjacent to the hotel. Thus, we spent most of our meals there. As we went at cold and drizzling winter, we stayed within the hotel most of the time at the 2nd day. The hotel has a few floors of activities, not cheap, HK$199 per pax to visit some of the exhibition rooms, thus, we didn't go for hotel activities. But we paid for a workshop that our daughter could fill up a teddy bear's cotton and sew it as her new pet. Highly recommend to visit the 1/f which is a place run by a non-profit organisation. The place has many beautifully decorated sections for photo taking and provides free gifts for children, we also spent only very little money to enjoy the art & craft activities for 1-2 hours - most important is the staff is super friendly and welcome. Finally, when the rain stopped the 3rd day of our trip, we got the chance to visit the Ark Garden which is much bigger and beautiful than I expected. It's a must go place basically!All in all, it's a good place to go in summer / autumn time. Beautiful scenes for photo taking, activities for the children and the beach for swimming and sun bath.
