I was recommended by my friend to stay there and I satisfied with the room, services, breakfast, night live, location, shops surrounding et cetera. I was check-in in the executive lounge and the hotel representative is very friendly and assisted and good in information availability. Assist and guided me to the shatin shopping mall, easy access to the public bus to vary cities. They provided shuttle bus services, and there is direct bus to airport as well. it's very easy to get the cab also Uber. Just compare the price before book the cab. The taxi fare I took was HKD110 from hotel toward HK-> Macau Ferry terminal. Uber quote me HKD100 because I'm in the rush and I just took the cab which waited outside lobby. You can easily find grocery shops nearby 200m away, wet market 500m away. Trust me, the small restaurant over there are disguise by their poor outlook but taste like michelin 1-star restaurant especially their daily special soup. The hotel have a lot of guests during my stay but you can't hear they screaming or break-dance sound from your neighbor. I have a wonderful nights over there. The room come with: fruits, iron, iron board, nice TV, waters, and others item you frequent see in other hotel. Price too expensive? I don't think so because I think it's reasonable price when I stay during that period. The executive lounge have the meeting room, PC and so on. You may use the facilities over there for business trip. Again, the front line girl representative very nice, she help me a lot during my trip. Aye, I will revisit this hotel again :) I believe people who gave low review was due to their superb high perfection expectation. But for me, this is a 5 star-services. Enjoy your trip in HK and the room if you're visiting the hotel.

I recently had a month-long stay at the Regal Riverside Hotel in Hong Kong, and unfortunately, I was left greatly disappointed by the experience. Firstly, there were no USB lines or adapters provided, and when I attempted to reach the front desk via the room's phone, there was no response. This made it difficult to charge my devices, which was quite inconvenient for a long-term stay. Furthermore, while I appreciate the hotel's effort to promote a plastic-free environment, no bottled water was provided. The equipment inside the room was outdated, and I felt uncertain about using the boiler and tap water due to their age and condition. My needs were also inadequately met by the hotel's service. Several requests for basic items such as an umbrella and scissors were denied. Even when I offered a tip for assistance with moving my luggage to my room, the help was not provided. Additionally, my request for a bathroom light repair was acknowledged but never acted upon. Consequently, I spent my final three days in the hotel bathing in the dark, as there was no window in the bathroom. Despite being managed by the largest hotel group in Hong Kong, the service and amenities provided by the Regal Riverside Hotel did not live up to expectations. The hotel's performance was a stark contrast to its reputation, and I hope my feedback brings about necessary improvements for future guests.

In a word: ick. My room on the 9th floor did have a view of the river. It also smelled like the river had been running through it. There was substantial noise from the road traffic all day and night. Blinds do not keep out light but they do help to keep the room a bit warmer. There was no heat or air conditioning. Fan did work to blow the stale, moldy air around and make it colder. The water is very hot in the bathroom. This causes additional condensation and moisture on all surfaces. The water knob falls off every time you try to turn the water on/off in the shower. Bed was very hard. Extra blankets are in the closet to keep you barely warm enough at night. The paint is peeling or damaged in the halls, common areas and rooms. Ice maker was out of order. 1 elevator was out of order. They claim to have an airport shuttle but it is only a shuttle bus to the MTR. You still need to buy the metro ticket and schlep your luggage through. There is 1 bus line that goes by the hotel. All other MTR stops are 1.5km (and several flights of stairs) away from the hotel. Breakfast at L’eau is convenient. Staff is not very friendly and will take your plates away while you are eating off them. Fitness center has a lot of old treadmills and some weight machines.

As being compared the quality service while my last stay years ago, it is now deteriorated.

While my recent stay, there was a leakage from the roof top onto the lobby floor. It is very sarcastic of the Hotel making numbers of buckets to contain rain water in the lobby for several days! It hardly comes across in any hotel? The lobby floor was in the wide area of puddle and wet.

Nevertheless, there was again of water drops leaked from the ceciling in one of the restaurants. It was amazing when the restaurant made several basins to receive the onflux of water drops .

This made diners uneasy as when time walking to and fro the food tables in the buffet time, they need escapes to avoid wet floor and the basins put along the walkway staircase. Or else, it will cause the fatal ~ to "kick the bucket"?

The hotel needs a refabrication and renovation!

Whole heartedly, I am sincerely to remind the Hotel for the "Fire Precaution". It is a must to avoid the lethal fire calamity! I did find a mainlander lady smoke when cooking in the communal kitchen. The cigarette butt was thrown no where! This may cause countless causalties in the closed enivromemt when caught fire as well as in the despite of precaution working in this issue.

You may agree with me to the shortage of workforce and under pressure of the "Front Desk" staff to fact of when ringed to the staff of the Front Desk, no one will pick up your calls when in need. The Front Desk staff members are all the times busy to entertain tenants lined up. I ringed the "Front Desk" in the every time span from dawn, morning, noon, afternoon, dusk to midnight... I was in vain few days. I have to go downstairs to talk to Front Desk for any need if required.

In the long stay of the Hotel, laundry is a necessary. However, it surprise you, only 2 out of 6 washing mahines remain in proper operation. The others are pended under maintenance nearly a month.

Don't just talke about negative of the Hotel that it may low down its good name in the hotel industry. It till has a good news to the gourmets.

The Hotel can provide you a wide varities of cuisines whereas the Italian, Thail & Vietanamese together with Chinese restaurants, a pub, a Taiwanese kitchen that have a good quality of food to fill your stomach but not the Dragon Inn.

Be fair, Riverside Regal situates next to the breathtaking Shing Mum River. It is a good walk on the promenade lurked you by the sunfall of the egg-yellow scenery till the Sun is immersed undrneath the horizontal line. It catches your unforgetable memory that you can share to your beloved ones.

The Riverside Regal is easily accessible by convenient transports ~ a several-number routes of buses, East Rail and Tun Mun Line MTR and the cross harbour buses. You can have a good chance to explore most of Hong Kong, to the Island, western and northern New...

I grew up near the hotel and knew it was getting worse by day, but booked anyways on a trip back to hk because I thought I would love the nostalgia brought by back by the Shing Mun river view, when I saw it on their website. Spoiler: some of those are computer images which look quite different from reality.

Turns out it was worse than the average hotel I expected: The carpet floor was damp and felt gross to put your feet on - I won’t be surprised if there’s mould all over the place once they tear off the carpet.

The toilet ventilation is subpar so the toilet would smell nasty at night; the lift broke on our first use and wouldn’t stop opening and closing; AC wouldn’t go lower than 23C despite attempts.

We got lucky to be allocated a river view room, but another lady at reception was complaining how she was facing another person’s window and could see them.

These are nitpicking to a certain extent. We could live with these flaws, given the price point. But the last straw that made me an avowed mud-slinger is their attitude towards complaints. We were woken up at 1am by the cigarette smoke that filled the room. There was no window we could open and opening the corridor door means more smoke would come in. When we called the reception, they went to the room but never called back to communicate what happened (they said the call doesn’t work, but maybe try knocking our doors?). Turns out the room opposite to us were smoking and opened the door to let the smoke out (what a jerk). The hotel said they would fine them only when we called them, and offered to switch our room, which took a full hour since we first called them. And we had to wake up at 7 for a flight next morning.

The next day when we went to the reception, the manager (25 May morning) refused to refund us, which is ridiculous since the smoking fine is 3x our room rate. They even told us to report to the police which is hilarious since the “crime” happened on their premise and they know it.

It’s not worth your time, health and frustration, even if you wanted to wake up to the Shing Mun river. The hotels nearby have similar price points and are probably much better. This hotel is trashed by years of negligence and...

We reserved double room for 1 night with Regal Riverside Hotel 3 hours before our check-in at 9pm via Trip.com. ||||When we registered for check-in, the front desk staff had not mentioned the unavailability of our room at all. When we entered the assigned room, the room was a twin-bed room, which was not the room we reserved at all. Thus, we needed to go back to lobby again and asked for the room we reserved. It was unexpectedly the front desk staff rejected to provide the double room for us and said it was fully booked on that night. It was unreasonable that Trip.com was still providing for ordering on double-room, we had mentioned to the front desk staff while he asked us to reach Trip.com for details and it was none of their hotel responsibility. ||||With such poor attitude response, we took the room and reached Trip.com for a compensation on all inconvenience caused and extremely disappointing arrangement around 10:30pm. Trip.com had helped liaising with the hotel, while Trip.com was also unable to reach to the hotel representative to look into our situation. Since we already checked in and took the room with no choice so Trip.com had compensated for our loss. ||||We thought all the mess had been settled and called off the day. It was unreasonable that the hotel called us to our room at 1:30AM!! The staff asked and surprised that we should have requested for refunded and cancelled on the room, and why we still staying in their hotel. Can you imagine the staff calling guest at midnight for an issue settled 3 hours ago? Plus, I have never stayed a hotel would call guest at midnight to wake them up for their mistake!!!||||Originally, we have no plan to complain or leave bad review on this hotel. We just blacklist them and the Group. However, I have no idea why keep receiving review request from Regal Riverside Hotel. It seems they insist to hear our comment. ||||Hong Kong now suffers poor economy. I can imagine part of the reasons are these terrible hospitality and staffs damaging Hong Kong image. As a local, I am shame of them for providing such...
