Demores Hotel — Hotel in Shanghai

Excellent service but no sleep:Service was excellent. Every single person we ran into in the hotel greeted us enthusiastically. The front desk was wonderful so A++ to the management and their staff. Location was across the road from the metro exit but everything else was a block or two away. It's located beside a bank, not in a shopping/eating area. However, it's all within walking distance. I can never recommend this hotel because I did not get a full night's sleep both nights that we were there. There is NO insultation in this hotel. We travel extensively and I have stayed in over 100 hotels. For this hotel level and price, it was completely not acceptable to listen to your next door neighbours snore or sing into the night. The staff were lovely and moved us after the 1st night of no sleep and threw in free breakfast. However, the 2nd room was the same. Instead of snoring, someone appeared to be singing karaoke and doors slammed all hours of the night. We did not even bother to complain. We should have know there was a problem when ear plugs were provided as part of the hotel amenities and we were warned upon check-in of potential noise issues. And the toilet. We have never stayed anywhere where the flushing upon sitting and then upon closing the lid was so aggressively loud that it woke everyone up. Whoever designed the bathrooms needs a new job and you can't even not flush as it's fully automated. Beds are hard but comfortable. THe hotel is clean and and the interiors are modern. If you are a heavy sleeper and do not mind noise, this is a great hotel. For a family travelling with young children, it was a terrible choice. But still thank you to the staff for their lovely...

It was a super pleasant stay in demores Hotel. My friends and I reached the hotel quite early and they let us check in earlier. There's a free essential oil that we could choose for the humidifier in the room. The room was really clean and everything was great. Bed was comfortable. They also have universal plug socket for us to charge our devices. Toilet and shower were separated, and both were very clean. During our 5-day stay, they cleaned our room daily. They topped up mineral water daily too. If we needed a top up of soap and shampoo, we could just wechat the hotel staff admin instead of calling them. We could even order food from outside and the robot will deliver to us. It's super convenient! There's also free washer and dryer at level 5 that we could use anytime if we need. The hotel location is also very strategic, near convenience stores, food places and also the train station. We could call Didi also from the hotel. Everything was perfect. This was the best of 3 hotels that we stayed in during our Shanghai trip. Will definitely want to stay here again when we come back to Shanghai.Pros: Spacious and clean room which gave the kids space to roam around. Location was also great, especially since the train’s exit closest to the hotel had an escalator which was good cause we had a stroller. There is also a bakery and fast food restaurant just steps away for a quick bite. Great service from the staff who always greeted with a smile and special thanks to 以墨 and 南星 who very proactive in helping us, from helping to rearrange a delivery of my parcel, bringing them to my room and helping with our luggages.
