My kids love this place and it is only 30 minutes from where I live, so why not! It can be very crowded, obviously, so definitely download the fast pass app when you get there. The Disney app is pretty neat, can tell you which rides have the shortest/longest wait times. The posted wait times are often longer than the real wait time, so that is nice (posted 90 minute wait time for Tron ended up being only about 70). Tron, Pirates, and the RC car are our favorite rides, no real "scary" rollercoaster rides at this park. I would think a younger kid would maybe think the 7 Dwarves ride is a little scary, but it isn't for older kids. They do allow food in now, which is good because food there is quite pricey. As a westerner I've eaten a lot of things overseas but the red corn dogs are not my style. You can also leave the park and go to Disney Town to eat at restaurants, but those can get very busy around meal time and they mostly don't take reservations so plan accordingly. I don't see the staff being anything but normal amusement park staff and everyone speaks "good enough" English for me, considering this is China and not an English speaking country. I bet a foreign visitor in the US would not find it so accommodating. If you can, watch the end of the night light show. It is pretty cool! Taxis are super quick and easy to get at the...
Read moreI’m very disappointed with this Disney. I want at 3 Disney parks already, and I expected so much more because this is the most new park at the Group. But the Park is big but most of the park is space between the attractions. A lot of distance to get at the place. And the quality of services is terrible. I needed one wheelchair for my son because he has broke his legs, and the quality is terrible. Not eletrical, manual and horrible quality. Didn’t worked perfect. Too havy. The Remy coffee shop doesn’t have tanle inside. Just at balcony outside, and is winter. We almost be frozen. We went at the park with taxi, the place to drop off is very very far from the entrance. They doesn’t have trains to transport us until there. Like others parks. Is not the best place to have fun. They have others parks so much better tham that. Don’t waist your time...
Read moreThis particular address is not Shanghai Disneyland. Do not use Google maps in China. Use Apple Maps only. This address provided us with the wrong location we had trouble locating the actual Shanghai Disneyland because of it. We were able to find it with Apple maps. For whatever reason Google is banned in China. We went in 2018 for reference.
The actual park was great. Lots of fun and good rides and shows. Everything is in Chinese. The pirates ride was of course amazing. It was crowded and there wasn’t a lot of personal space. Especially during the fireworks we were required to sit on the ground and basically couldn’t move without touching another person. But remember you’re in China and it’s a different culture. Also no one really knows English, not even the employees in the park so don’t...
