Royal International Hotel — Hotel in Shanghai

My review was not going to be kind but it was rescued by the intervention of the the manager who in my opinion deserves a promotion. It’s a very short cab ride from the airport. The shuttle never came and got me although it was prebooked. Rooms were gorgeous included coffee and tea. Restaurant was ok. Tips: you can not use the the pool without the swim cap, it’s a long walk to the subway, and there is nothing to do in the immediate area. The manager knowing how upset I was about the shuttle bought me a birthday cake and it was so sweet and kind he truly cares about the happiness of the guests. Hopefully that does trickle down to the staff. If you want to see and explore shanghai this is not the location for a beautiful airport hotel I would highly recommend. Just download google translate. We went to Shanghai to do a cruise and this hotel seemed to fit the bill,||It has an hourly shuttle service from the airport which we used, approximately 20min drive.||The hotel has a very imposing lobby but it was very cold, check in was very easy but the staff had a very poor command of English as did most of the staff we met.||The bedroom was very good comfortable beds and a large bathroom with a wet room and a deep tub with a tv screen, the amenities were unbelievable everything you could ever want, robes slippers the list just went on and on it even had two smoke masks in case of fire.||The coffee shop was very good but like the lobby very cold the waiting staff wore overcoats so did a lot of the clientele.||This is a very difficult review to submit nothing wrong with the hotel but would I stay again I...

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. Service was very fast, whether it was check-in or any other requests, everything was handled efficiently. The hotel itself looks amazing, with beautiful decor and a pleasant atmosphere. My room was spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. The only minor downside is that the location is a bit far from the city center, so you’ll need to plan for transportation if you want to explore downtown areas frequently. However, if you don’t mind the extra travel time, this hotel is definitely worth it for the excellent service and quality. I would happily stay here again and recommend...
