Hotel Indigo Suzhou Jinji Lake, an IHG Hotel — Hotel in Suzhou City

First time staying at an Indigo. Didn't expect too much when I booked for such a new hotel in a busy city, and I didn't recognize Indigo as a higher-end among IHG series. But their staff have performed beyond standard. We booked three rooms for two nights. Scott contacted me before my arrival and was supportive through our stay. One of us arrived way earlier than regular check-in time and was allowed to check in. The check-out time for three rooms were postponed to 3 pm. We did have some noise issue on the first day but their staff have been attentive responsive to our complaints. At the day of check-out, we were given some free gifts and one staff sent us to our car in person and apologized again for the noise we had on the first day we moved in.

They offer Dyson hair dryer and decent brand mineral water. Their breakfast was also nice and could please western, eastern and vegetarian guests. First floor cafe is where you have your breakfast. They offered local special foods like noodles, sweet lotus roots and rice cakes. But I do wish all IHG hotels could use better milk, especially in China. I could tell that Anji was using a better milk and coffee than Jinji Lake. We ordered fried rice for one lunch, which actually was impressive. The restaurent on the 7th floor is owned by someone else, not a bad option if you don't want to go out but there are better choices in the city.

This building is just next to Jinji Lake, in a quiet yet convenient place. They offer bikes for free if you want to ride around the lake. Or you can walk for 5 mins to take subway. Parking is free too.

Nowadays there are too many high-level elite members for all airline and hotel brands. It is not uncommon that elite members could not receive the treatment they deserve, especially in big cities. 这次去苏州办点事，刚好就带我妈妈一起去苏州玩一下，想着交通便利一点离园区也近一点就预订了金鸡湖的英迪格。

入住前：

在预订日期的前一天酒店打来了电话咨询需求，只不过当时我正在忙就先加了微信，可惜加了微信之后并没有第一时间联系我，到了第二天还是我主动沟通才回复我，有点小遗憾。

酒店周边环境：

酒店位于金鸡湖东岸，出门右转300米左右就是地铁8号线，转一站就能到东方之门，去其他地方也很方便。只不过附件商城配套设施还在完善，想要逛街消费觅食还是去西岸比较好。酒店旁边还有一个摩天轮只不过也还没有开放。

入住酒店：

我们从苏州站出发打车约17公里到达酒店用时约20多分钟。酒店一如既往的隐蔽，门头很小，但是比起古运河的英迪格还是要好找很多（不知道为什么苏州英迪格都喜欢藏起来）。门口也有每个英迪格专属的艺术品，虽然我不懂啊。下车礼宾就抢先把车门拉开了，弄得司机有点尴尬。因为我们也没什么行李就没麻烦礼宾了。到了酒店大堂办理入住，前台穿的是青绿色的统一着装不像其他酒店一样是清一色的黑白，我个人觉得非常好看也有一种亲近感。这次入住的是金鸡湖景观的豪华双人床，因为客房还在打扫所以就先在公区转了一圈。整个公区不大，像是一个月牙，但是很有设计感，给人一种安详的感觉，我妈妈是非常喜欢。等了大概十几分钟客房打扫好了，去前台拿房卡时也让我眼前一亮，这家的房卡是圆形的，挺有特色的可以留个纪念。房间在六楼，已经算是高层了，这家英迪格本身不高（想住高层可以去古运河英迪格和湖对面的尼依格罗）。门前的公区空间很大，这就让人很舒服了就算对面是电梯间也因为距离很远听不到什么噪音。入门后的房型很板正，左手淋浴洗手间，右手衣柜行李架，里面就是卧室了。对了，这家酒店除了套房外其他房型全都是不带浴缸一定要注意了，这点我实在想不通英迪格不带浴缸有点离谱了。卧室的设计是以原木，白墙为主体加以深蓝以点缀，浴室则以墨绿瓷砖为装饰。浴室的吹风机也是标配的戴森，浴袍就很有姑苏特色了，一件是墨绿色一件是粉紫色。说实话蓝色和绿色很不好搭配，但是这家英迪格设计的就让人很舒服，从员工的服饰颜色就能看出一点姑苏特色了。迷你吧的饮品第一轮也是免费的，但是除了可乐和雪碧其他的基本也不好喝，咖啡机，胶囊咖啡，茶叶也是标配。打开窗帘就是金鸡湖和摩天轮，虽然楼层不高但是景色还是可以的。床头也是有jbl的蓝牙音箱，就是不能移动。

早餐：

早餐单买是188一份成人，不便宜了。早餐厅在一楼，就是大堂隔壁。早餐厅的风格也是以墨绿色为主，尤其是侧面的门全绿。餐品基本上中西都有。中餐有牛肉，大肠，炒饭，炒面之类的，西餐就是肉肠，冷肉拼盘，面包之类。菜品还是比较齐全的就是没有什么特色，每天餐厅还有每一道的特色餐品，我们第一天是水晶虾饺，第二天好像是一个慕斯甜品。如果你要点外卖也是可以的，酒店也有机器人直接送到房间的。

优点：

整个酒店很新，员工也是很年轻化的（虽然主动服务意识还差点但是比较酒店开业也没多久可以理解，多磨合磨合就好了）。整体设计还是比较有特色的，年轻人和中老年人都能接受，不走极端（要是带父母住w我都不敢想）。交通便利出门就是地铁口，环境优美（就在湖边）。还可以在酒店免费租借自行车进行环岛骑行。

缺点：

重点来了，不要住太高。这次住在六楼，一进门就能感受到正午太阳直射的威力，就算是冬天房间温度也很高了，到了晚上依然很热。空调因为是冬天统一开的制热，也没办法开制冷，只能让客房多送几个制冷风扇，直接盖被单才能睡着了。如果是我一个人热还正常因为我本来就比较怕热，但是我妈妈也热的受不了，可能房间确实很热了。到了第二天还是很热，管家那边说可以换个带露台的房间，但是我妈妈想看看湖景就作罢了。晚上酒店还送了红酒还是可以的。同时因为周围商圈还在开发，噪音问题还是依然存在的，我妈妈因为对声音很敏感所以还是被吵醒了。在公区中间的空地上，突出了一个按压是的电源插座，差点绊倒我妈妈这点酒店还是要注意的。

总结：

如果你不追求高楼层，不刚需浴缸，不怕热，不要求特色早餐，喜欢环境优美（近金鸡湖），晚上不会喧闹，交通便利，酒店略有特色，还是比较推荐金鸡湖英迪格的。同时感谢管家Vicky的帮助，一直回...

The hotel is new and its design is modern with great smell. Staffs were friendly and offered assistance all the time even some of them couldn't speak English, really appreciate it.
