8/5/2025 4pm The service at the All Seasons Hotel left much to be desired, falling into the realm of mediocrity. Upon my arrival, I discovered that my check-in time was still a staggering five hours away. Fortunately, the staff graciously offered to store my luggage, providing me with some reassurance that my room would not reek of cigarette smoke — an assurance that, as it turned out, would prove to be tragically misplaced.
To make the most of my waiting period, I ventured out to explore the enchanting streets of Suzhou, capturing the vibrant essence of Pingjiang Road and the bustling energy of Guanqian Street through a series of captivating 360-degree photographs. However, my excitement was soon dampened upon returning to the hotel. It became painfully evident that the receptionists seemed to prioritize influencers and other guests over my presence in the queue. I stood there, feeling somewhat invisible, as they attended to everyone else before finally acknowledging my existence and handing me a room key.
As if this slight were not enough, they also presented me with a rather pedestrian token: a fan emblazoned with the Suzhou logo and a paper bag containing three fruits. While I appreciate thoughtful gestures, I found it baffling that such amenities were provided while essential items like a toothbrush or comb were conspicuously absent.
When I finally entered my assigned room, Room 7006, I was met with an overwhelming and nauseating stench of cigarette smoke. Despite their explicit instructions prohibiting smoking within the premises, it seems that many guests are all too willing to flout this rule without consequence. Rather than simply issuing a perfunctory apology or offering empty reassurances, I believe that strict penalties should be enforced against violators to maintain a pleasant environment for all patrons.
In my quest for resolution, I promptly returned to the front desk to request a room change, only to be informed that no alternate accommodations were available. This response was disheartening; they could have easily offered me a room with a street-facing window as compensation for the unacceptable situation I was enduring. Instead, I was met with the disappointing news that I would need to pay a premium for any potential upgrade.
My overall experience at the All Seasons Hotel was far from satisfactory, and I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to others seeking a pleasant stay. Ultimately, after much persistence, a kind-hearted receptionist did provide me with a bottle of air freshener spray and offered advice on how to ventilate the room effectively. While I appreciated her assistance, it felt more like a band-aid solution for a gaping wound rather than a genuine effort to rectify the situation. The lack of attentiveness and care exhibited by the staff overshadowed any semblance of hospitality, leaving me disillusioned about my choice of accommodation.
8/8/2025 11:49 AM Also, regarding the free laundry service, some people took out others' clothes before they were dry and put their own clothes in the dryer. Because many people opened the doors of the washing machines or dryers, the start timers were reset, and people mistakenly thought the operating...
Read moreThis hotel looks like it once was quite grand, but now most things have fallen into a rather semi-squalid state of existence. Everything still works: the lighting in the rooms, the hot water, the AC, the lifts, the TV. But everthing looks a bit gloomy and sad, like unloved items that once shone brightly. The existence of random potted plants in the middle of what may once have been envisioned as a grandiose lobby made things look more morose than it probably should be.||||The rooms were adequate. They were relatively clean, but again it had an air of neglect around it. There were even exposed piping travelling across the walls. I've never ever heard of such things in a (relatively) modern building. It made everything look dirty and cheap. Street noise was also present, though not terribly bad.||||The location, however, was excellent. Great walking distance to the station, as well as Suzhou's primary pedestrian shopping district. I didn't even once notice whether or not the hotel had a restaurant because outside options were so bountiful. I wouldn't recommend this property, but you CAN do worse. So I suppose if you're in a bind, it'll do just fine. Plus it's quite...
Read moreAt 3 p.m. on July 27, I had a 2-day trip to Suzhou and stopped at Ji Hotel. Due to the erratic sunny and rainy weather, I got sick and poisoned. There was a little problem with my roommate so I had to leave my room at night. During the night, there was a sister and a receptionist who helped me sleep and took care of me when I was sick. I am extremely grateful, thank you to the 2 receptionists and Ji hotel for helping me in this beautiful city of Suzhou. If I have a chance to come back to Suzhou, I will still go back to Ji Hotel to experience the service. Thank...
