The English-speaking reception staff were very efficient. Due to the lingering cigarette smell in our 'non-smoking' room, they changed our room with little fuss.The expansive views of the waterways and city lights from our sofa were very pleasant to enjoy with wine and cheese bought from the local Ole (supermarket in MixC that stocks a large range of imported products). During our 4-night stay, the Western style buffet breakfast maintained a high standard throughout, offering everything from honey on the comb (for toast), to pastries, freshly cooked pancakes and waffles, traditional bacon-eggs-baked beans-hash browns-grill tomatoes, freshly brewed espresso, and everything in between. Due to our nationality, we did not sample the Chinese buffet breakfast.The hotel was situated a short walk from the closest subway station and a manageable walk from MixC, an upmarket shopping center with a myriad of restaurants to choose from for dinner. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant for evening meals, so am unable to comment on that.The room offered a deep bath, which was a treat after each full day of sightseeing around Xiamen Island.Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much, and will continue to use the hotel brand on...

Booked 2 non smoking room. My room was terrible the moment we walk into the room its smelly. The front desk offer to change to another room but we didnt change in the end because the other room smell as bed and no ventilation in there and aircon is nt working and we can smell pee smell near the bed area||Wanted to take rest at about 1am after long day, Open the blanket the pungent smell come out from the blanket it feel as it someone been layin on the bed and smoke and housekeeping didnt bother to change to new bedsheet, pillow and blanket when the prev customer check out.||Its like 1am when we realise the bed was smelly and we didnt have energy to call the housekeepin to change coz probably it will make us wait for another hour before we can rest. ||No smokin sign is put in the room but the funny thing is asthray also put on top of the desk.||Almost all lifts when i walk into it have the ciggies smell even in the main lobby also i saw ppl smoking and walkin around but the hotel staff didnt do anything stern to stop them despit the fact that in the lift its written fine 1500 (if im nt wrong) for smoking...

I had a fantastic stay at Kempinski Xiamen and would highly recommend it. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, professional, and attentive — even opening the doors for our taxi and Didi rides, which added a thoughtful touch.

The entire hotel environment is elegant, clean, and truly upscale — from the grand lobby to the beautifully maintained pool locker rooms. Everything feels polished and high-end.

Our room was luxurious, comfortable, and well-designed, with complimentary bottled water and a fast elevator that made getting around easy. The 25-meter indoor pool was another highlight — spacious and great for a real swim.

The breakfast buffet offered a wide range of dishes catering to international tastes, and the location is convenient for getting around the city. For the level of service and quality, the pricing is very reasonable.

Overall, Kempinski Xiamen delivers luxury, comfort, and great service at an affordable rate. I would absolutely stay here again.
