Hotel Maitamá — Hotel in Armenia

First of all, the actual address of the entrance of the hotel is Carrera 17, 21-29. This may sound far from the address listed on Trip Advisor, but the building is on a corner, and so the entrance is literally around the corner from the address that's on the Trip Advisor web site.||||Normally, when I arrive in a new city, I will walk around and look at a few different hotels before I decide on one. But, I arrived in Armenia late at night and just had the taxi driver take me to this hotel. This hotel is fine for people who don't want to spend much money; it's suitable for backpackers, students, or anyone with a small travel budget. The is no luxury here... no wifi, no breakfast, etc.||||The hotel has my two most important things.... hot water and cable TV. There were 3 beds in my room, and they were fairly comfortable. This hotel is older, and appears to be an art-deco style building. I don't think it has been renovated since it was new, but the price reflects that. When I arrived, the man at the reception desk started out with a price for one person in the 50's, but we settled on 40.000 pesos per night. He actually showed me three rooms and I picked the one I liked best. If I go to Armenia again, I would probably look at a few other hotels first, but I would have no problem staying here again.||||The location is good, as you only have a short distance to walk to the main square, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. I had room number 415 which was very quiet... the window opened to a ventilation shaft (not the street) so I couldn't...

El servicio del señor recepcionista Frank ( quien me recibió ) excelente , muy amable y cordial , lo felicito . El hotel como tal tiene un concepto o temática Colonial ( es bueno ) algo un poco diferente para los que estamos acostumbrados a hospedarnos en hoteles con temáticas modernas. Es un hotel muy tranquilo y funcional . Con Wiffi y el resto de los colaboradores del hotel son también muy formales. Recuerden es estilo colonial ( las habitaciones , los baños y en general ) pero cumple con el objetivo...
