Faranda Collection Barranquilla, a member of Radisson Individuals — Hotel in Barranquilla

Unfortunately, very disappointed with that hotel. Located quite far away from the city center. In 5* hotel like Radisson, staff doesn’t speak fluent English. Rooms are quite spacious however with very loud A/C, fridge and “paper wall” which cause we could clearly hear alarm clock from the next room early in the morning (even though description says sound proof walls). If your room is located to the main street and if you are in lower floor, there is terrible noise from that street. Being on the second floor, we could also hear noise from the reception later in the evening. Old bathroom tiles and outdated design. Breakfast is simply terrible, comparing to what we have experienced in the different 5* hotels in Bogota, for example. Few pieces of cheese and ham, two different kinds of cereals and 4 kinds of fruit, mess on the table. We oredered an egg omelette and there was a piece of paper in it. Ever since my arrival to the hotel, Natalia the concierge went the extra mile as she helped me get an upgrade on my room which had a 180 degree view of Barranquilla and the Magdalena river. The room was very cool, spacious, clean, comfortable, containing a small balcony where you can sit and enjoy the views. The hotel’s boast a pool on the 10th floor, a bar and a restaurant which has a 360 degree view of Barranquilla historical center. Every morning, I enjoyed a scrumptious continental buffet-style breakfast, including, fruits, pancakes, scramble eggs, coffee, tea, freshly-squeezed juice and cereals with milk. Maybe not the biggest hotel, BUT, the staff is SUPER friendly. There is a nice rooftop bar/restaurant with a pool and most importantly, the beds are more than AMAZING!

On my flight back home, the bus that I reserved cancelled on me 15 minutes prior to arrival, for a group of 10 people. I rushed to the reception and explained them what happened. The lady at the reception (forgive me for forgetting her name) handled the situation super quickly and within 4 minutes the first (of 3) SUV taxi was in front of the hotel. These people understand what customer service is.

Beside that, there is 24/7 security in front of the hotel with friendly officers as well. The hotel is also located very close to all the big shopping malls which makes Uber rides very cheap.
