Do yourself a favour and do not stay here. We booked here 1 night in a late decision. Ratings on Booking seemed okay, but... We were the only family staying for the night (20+ rooms, mmh). The room was very basic for the price. The hotel area was smelly and noisy due to the nearby Flamingo pool and the generator of the Telecom tower next to the hotel. The whole place was a strange mix of newly buyed stuff (instagramable fake chopper with flowers?) and badly maintained floors/rooms. My son cut his too in the swimming due to a broken tile. We had our special translator girl send with us to do the communication from English to spanish though it was not painless. Our beds were missing 2 sheets. So we sent a whatsapp to the translator girl, which came 15 minutes later with staff member to tell us that they should be on the bed. Really? We had already taken sheets from another room. The next day we let them know that we felt we didn't had value for money. The mistress owner was not amused to say it mildly. We did get a reasonable discount, with the note that we should write a good review. Yeah, so they could screw another ones travel day! The owner really misbehaved, which I have never seen before. She started complaining about my wife for the reason she had some complains. This made it even worse offcourse. I would say to the owner, please retire, sell it, so another people can make it a little paradise again. Better stay at Cocoliso, Borabora or Isla del sol, 1000% better. The location itself is also not topnotch as you watch to another close by island, which doesn't give you that island feeling with wide ocean view. Oh by the way, we could not write a review on booking, as they canceled the booking afterward, yep, hence this google review. To end positive, the available kayaks were nice to use, the swing were smooth and most of the staff were nice...

Read moreDO NOT BOOK. I can’t speak for the rooms, but as an afternoon here from Cartagena, this was not pleasant. We thought we were simply booking transport to Isla Grande, but instead were kind of stranded at this dinky place with too many people, no beach, and mediocre food. Since most of the island is privately owned, you have to book transport there to a specific place, which we did not know. We arrived around 12 and were told (rudely) by the boat captains to be ready at 2 on the dot for return to CTG. 2:15 rolls by and nothing. The next boat tells me we missed a different boat that we were supposed to take instead of our original! 2:30 and the second boat returns, but is going elsewhere. We had to take it in order to eventually get back to CTG 2+ hrs later. I’m American, but fluent in Spanish, and could not believe the disrespect and blatant disregard I was shown, so uncharacteristic from all my myriad previous experiences in the region. A rip-off trip with mostly very...
