Ibis Cali Granada seems to have a theft problem. Its management is defensive about it and appears unwilling to adequately confront, take seriously, and address the safety and security lapses that exist at the hotel. A cursory online search reveals at least four complaints related to property loss over the past two years. In response to a recent property loss event, Ibis Cali condescendingly “informed” a former guest that the rooms have safe deposit boxes. They did so without first ascertaining whether the guest was aware of the presence of the safe deposit boxes and whether the guest had utilized the safe deposit box. Unfortunately, this is the atrociously low level of diligence, attention, and professionalism that one can expect at Ibis Cali.
For safety and security reasons alone, Ibis Cali should be avoided at all costs. However, there are other reasons to skip this hotel, including faulty air conditioning units, poor customer service, bizarre staff demeanor, inept management, a fire alarm that intermittently and randomly activates for five to ten seconds at different times of the day and night, and poorly maintained rooms.
Ibis Cali does not meet Accor standards. In its current state, it is a stain on Accor’s outstanding reputation and exceptional network of hotels. Key stopped working and they tried to make me stand behind 4 ppl checking in, instead of taking 2 secs to reprogram my card. We queued for 1 hour to check in - only to be told that they couldn’t find my reservation and they could only assign a twin room as opposed to the double. I asked if while I booked another hotel I could ve offered a refreshment - only for my question to be ignored and told restaurant is on 2nd floor. We got to the restaurant/bar - waited 15 minutes and didn’t even get served. Poor customer service. Entrance was also under construction.
