What an amazing place. The quality and flavor of the food far exceeded expectations. While I do feel it’s somewhat overpriced, the experience and food may be well worth it for many.
The biggest drawback, in my opinion, is the space. The interior feels a bit small and tight. You can clearly hear the conversations at neighboring tables—even with music playing—which speaks to how closely the tables are arranged. Unfortunately, we were seated at what I believe is the worst table in the restaurant—right by the door. As someone with an eye for design, I’d say that table disrupts the aesthetic of an otherwise beautifully decorated space and probably shouldn’t exist.
They do offer outdoor seating, which looks like a better option, though be mindful of the weather. On a hot, sunny day, it could be unbearable for lunch.
One great touch was the live DJ playing loungy music—definitely added to the ambiance. The bathrooms are also incredibly designed—honestly, a visual experience on their own. The entire place is thoughtfully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Still, I can’t emphasize enough how closely packed the tables are.
Now, the sushi? Absolutely incredible. Probably the best sushi I’ve had in Cali—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. But be prepared to pay for it.
This is a great spot for a date night, a solo self-care dinner, or a stylish outing with a friend. I went on a Thursday evening as a last-minute option, and the place was packed. If you enjoy sushi, Asian fusion, and dressing up, this place is for you. Just don’t expect a budget-friendly experience—go in ready to...
Read more🌟 5-Star Review for Izumi 🌟 📍Location: Izumi 🧑🍳 Host: Camilo (the MVP)
Wow. Just wow. I don’t remember the name of this dessert (pictured below because yes — it deserves a standing ovation), but what I do remember is how it completely made my day.
My incredible host Camilo recommended this dish — I trusted his taste, and man, did it deliver. Creamy, crisp, rich, and beautifully balanced — it was like art meeting comfort food in a bowl. The mix of textures — the silky ice cream, the crunch, the vibrant berry compote — was pure genius.
I paired it with a cappuccino, and the combination hit all the right notes. It wasn’t just dessert, it was an experience.
✨ The service was flawless. Attentive without being overbearing, warm, and genuinely welcoming. The vibe is elegant and elevated, but never pretentious.
To anyone reading this: Trust Camilo. Trust the chef. And get that dessert. Izumi — you nailed it. Thank you for the unforgettable moment.

Read moreFood here is very mediocre, but the prices are insanely high and expensive. The okay quality of the food does NOT justify the ridiculous price. Most dishes here costs anywhere from 60k to easily 100k+ cop for food you can find in other places for much less. The noodles are NOT authentic Asian cooking, as the smoke grilled the chicken and put it in the noodle soup, which overpowers the dish. These ramen noodles with chicken cost 59k cop! The meat skewers are small, and meat is kinda chewy. Meat quality is very average, but it costs 40k cop! The 8 pieces of sushi with tuna and mango costs 59k cop! The rice inside the sushi roll is mushy and not good quality. Restaurant looks nice and service is good, but you are way overpaying to eat the okay food here. Just 3 very low end dishes plus a Coke costed me 166k cop! You could go anywhere else and pay a fraction of the cost and eat...
