Hotel cartagena DC — Hotel in Cartagena

It is a very modern hotel with minimalist decor. The staff is very helpful. I’d like to José the daylight server for bringing me breakfast with a smile every morning. The breakfast menu is very limited to mostly different styles of eggs with bread. The lunch and dinner were tasty. The bar tender, Jaime made an awesome mojito and also limonada. As I’ve read in other reviews, there isn’t any hot water in the shower and the bed is extremely hard and uncomfortable. I slept on the pillows where were very comfortable. The location is far from the walled city and it takes half hour to get there via taxi. The area seems grimy but I walked around twice after 9pm and nothing bad happened. About the area: Hotel Cartagena DC is about a half an hour away from the Historical Centre but it's still in an area where you can shop. That was very good for us. There are two Exitos closeby, a KFC is next door and transportation is easily accesible. The staff worked hard and breakfast was always ready on time. The rooms are adequate and they have a pool you can cool off in on the hot days. Not a bad stay at all....

En cuanto a la habitacion, estuve en una con jacuzzi y me parecio genial, el servicio la comida es rica, solo que es repititiva por ser buffet, la piscina en el ultimo piso me parecio genial algo diferente o plus a los demas hoteles, lo que me parecio negativo es que esta un poco lejos del casco y de boca grande... Sin embargo, cerca esta la estacion del transcaribe y se puede llegar en unos 20-30 minutos, y sino tambien se puede agarrar taxi que es economico OJO RECOMIENDO LLAMAR EL TAXI DIRECTAMENTE DEL HOTEL... ya que si se agarra de afuera te quieren sacar los ojos con los precios por lo que se dan cuenta que eres turista, recomiendo llamar dentro del hotel y preguntar inmediatamente tarifa||||En general, lo recomiendo mas como un hotel tipo boutique, al cual tengas que ir para una reunion de trabajo que quede cerca del hotel, para turismo, preferiria otras zonas mas centricas como Bocagrande o el casco...
