Gaston2 — Hotel in Medellín

We have been there two weeks ago and it was just nice. We got a really friendly welcome, even when we arrived late. The hostel is in a nice area with some restaurants near by. To the metro station its maybe 10 minutes by foot, same as to a main street with lots more shops and restaurants. The rooms, we had a 2 person one, are clean, modern and with a nice bathroom and a really compfortable bed. 1 balcony and another place to sit outside are inclusive. Gaston #2 is a nice, hospitable place for those travelling on a budget. The rooms are simple but clean and the beds are comfortable. The location is amazing, close to a lot of restaurants, some supermarkets, the Floreste station (around 8 minutes by foot), and to Laureles. Vibes in the area are warm & friendly. Vibes among the travellers in the hostel as well. The owner is amazing. :)

Something to take into account is that there is no real common space to hang out in. There is a balcony, but it only fits about 3 people. There is a dinner table, but in the evenings/night that's not...

Al principio todo bien con quién estaba de gerente encargado el Sr José. Más cuando llegó la administradora y dueña fue horrible. La Sra Marleny es controladora, deja de encargado a los voluntarios qué de noche, más que parecer un Hostel, parecía un bar. Reguetón a alto volúmen, reuniones con alcohol y ella llegaba en el día cómo si nada. Cómo Venezolana 🇻🇪, y pagando puntualmente. Sufrí actitudes y abusos xenofobicos....ya que cuando le llamaba la atención por el ruido, ella se agarraba de ello por su incompetencia y frustración como líder, para interferir mis clases y mentorias qué daba de manera remota solo un par de horas interdiario. Lo hacía en la parte de arriba para no molestar e interrumpir a nadie. Se metía en plena clase o reunión virtual, y me mandaba a callar. Primera vez en mi vida fui víctima de ello en un sitio qué me hospedara. Prefiere conservar al voluntario que no cumple las normas, y maltratar al huésped. Por ejemplo, me decía; "Tal huésped necesita silencio y tranquilidad cuando ya daba mis clases que era 12pm por ejemplo, insinuando que yo no era un huésped". No sé los recomiendo...tuve que irme de manera abrupta, ya que prácticamente me insinuó que me fuera. Los empleados se la calan, porque necesitan el trabajo.... incluso, comentado por algunos de...
