Hotel Casa Pablo Neiva — Hotel in Neiva

When we arrived in Neiva, we didn't know where to stay, and happen to checked various stay as it was very early in the morning when we arrived there. We passed this hotel Casa Pablo, and decided to check it out. It looks very small, and at first we thought nothing of it because of the area it was located in. After we check with the frontdesk, a very helpful young man helped us after he had notified the owner of the hotel. The woman check us out and after a short talk she decided to provide us with a room at 5 AM in the morning until 3PM that afternoon. We were first reluctant about this especially me, but after another little talk, decided to take the room for the price that was quoted. She opened the front gate and had to drive the car through the lobby into the garage in the center of the hotel. I was shocked at first, but found out that this was done for security reasons due to the area, and was very pleased. While we checked in the owner of the hotel offered us some tea and we talked for a little while. After we had checked in and taken up to our room, I was more than amazed of the quality of the room and the hotel. The room was facing the road, but was quiet and very, very clean with all the comfort of a high quality 5 start hotel. There was a flat screen TV, a desk with telephone, a safe in the closet, which had enough room for a lot of clothes. one bed was a single bed and there was also a double size bed. I (a New Zealand woman travelling alone) stayed at Casa Pablo for one night at the beginning of a work trip. The hotel is clean and very quiet, and has air conditioning and very friendly helpful staff. The wifi worked well. It is a little way from the center of town but close to a good Italian restaurant and quieter than the center. The owner is trying hard to make it an eco-hotel and has started with hot (or at least warm) water provided from solar panels. Her son took me for a tour to the local town Rivera with lovely hot pools. Very much a family atmosphere. Breakfast was basic but good. Es un hotel que además de mantenerse por más de 20 años ha evolucionado y mejorado sus propios servicios con el pasar de los años, manteniendo sus estándares de calidad y prestigio de todas las maneras para dar una experiencia que se podría llamar de primera clase.
