Morobik Hostel - Resto BAR — Hotel in Popayán

So many simple things were just bad about this hostel. Horrible booming music til late at night/into the early morning some nights. I asked them to turn it off when it got to 12 and they said yes but it was still playing til the early hours. Food in the restaurant was very bland and drowned in cheese. They conveniently "forgot" we paid for one of the breakfasts and we had an argument with the staff about this. They also put up the prices of the breakfasts we already had eaten so they tried to make us pay even more due to "inflated prices in holy week". They told us we could pay a different price that wasn't on booking so be careful about this. The first night the staff walked in on the phone past 12 in the night chatting on the phone and turned the light on without consulting anyone in the dorm and did this again before started moving our things before putting in another bed as they'd overbooked the dorm in the process disturbing the whole dorm. There was no soap in the bathroom or toilet paper every day we had to ask again. Furthermore they would move your things without even asking you. There was also no security as anyone could walk in as the bar/restaurant is super public and there's no lockers. Rubbish experience and I would avoid this hostel...

It's incredibly staying here:) Lovely staff and good beds. For those saying it's too loud are just boring people anyways so if you're a boring person just stay away(also not even loud in the rooms. Very nice good staff again, and I'd recommend this place to stay if you are a traveller and looking to have a good time while feeling welcome in a relaxed and comfortable place. Not uptight like...

If you are coming here to stay in the hostal, remember that the vast majority of the reviews here are only for the food, in the café not the lodging. The cafe area is nice but they play music until midnight, which sucks if you are actually a guest trying to sleep...
