I had an incredible experience where, due to riots, I found myself stuck and needing help to get to San Gil. The staff at This is Colombia went above and beyond to assist me, ensuring I arrived safely and constantly checking up on me. Their kindness and genuine care set the tone for an unforgettable stay.

The team at the hostel is incredibly warm and attentive, always making sure you’re comfortable and proposing exciting activities to make the most of your time in San Gil. Can't understand why it has such a high rating. I can't admit the staff is so nice and helps you everything needed, really like a friend and willing to serve, which is rare in hostel, but that is.||However, apart from that, the room itself is horrible. They have no hot shower water and only one fan in room but located in a place you cannot feel it, it was so hot at night that you can't sleep. There is a weird window or I should say hole in wall which cannot close, it has no wind coming but tons of mosquito flying in, we got bited everynight, makes it hot and itch in bed. ||Understand its price is so cheap that we can't ask for more, but at least putting some mosquito net on that "hole" and install the fan in a location where it can functioned, but not just like a decoration.||The room door doesn't have a lock and everyone can come in if they want. Over our stay, it keeps coming strangers doesn't stay in our room and use the shower, which is so insecure, and we have to wait until those strangers finished, so ridiculous.||There's a kitchen but you can't cook breakfast before 10:00 is another problem. If you want the breakfast, you have to pay unless you can make a breakfast doesn't need...
