This is not a resort in any shape or form but a broken down hotel . From the pictures it looks cute and great views but when you pull up it’s nothing like the pictures . Old , dilapidated, run down . Be careful if you have luggage bc you will slip down a series of ramps designed to elevate no elevator. Once you finally get the broken down door open you will see something out of 1980 w cracked walls , falling down ceilings , beds that look like they belong in a homeless shelter , a bathroom that is more like a hole in the wall . We left immediately, owner has no refund policy bc once you see it you will not want to stay there . Too late . No exceptions. Rude . We booked through Expedia and as much as they tried we failed to get our money back or even a partial refund even though we didn’t stay for 5 mins . Pool area was scary . I wouldn’t let my dog swim in that pool . No restaurant no bar nothing at all like pictures . Even if you were looking for a rustic style Costa Rican stay it’s far from that . There was one guy working the whole place . Room 103 was advertised for 300 a night . More like a 3 dollar a night stay . Be very aware...
Read moreBy far the worst Marina that we have ever used for the yacht, an absolute joke. The only thing going for it was Anna in the office and even then I believe that she’s lied to from the management. A true bait and switch marina. The general manager won’t come out of his office to address issue’s and just hides in there but was to be expected as useless people hide from their mistakes. They also wouldn’t allow our agent on the dock or immigration as Andrea the manager didn’t get his bride. So unless you use “seamasters” that give him kick backs they won’t allow other agents to work there. Overall, in 25 years of working as a captain this is the worst marina I’ve been to and that is saying a lot as I’ve sailed the world. Even African marinas has better business sense and manners. As you can see in the images the marina is almost empty because others know it’s a crappy marina. As you can see by the image they also have no dock sense as seen with the yacht stairs crossing almost the complete dock.

Read moreThis hotel was under renovation (apparently, we didn’t see any work in progress). Although the location was nice, the hotel was not presentable. Our double room was very dilapidated. The bath had drains that appeared clogged, and a bidet that didn’t function. Matresses were thin and flat, the lamp flickered on and off, the door chain was missing, the safe was not functional, no internet available in rooms. etc. The few other guests were equally disappointed in the hotel and felt that they were misinformed. The bar and restaurant were closed, so we had to go off site for meals. They have a small beach area with kayaks available for use, but the equipmint is old, and paddles are chipped and broken. Fortunately, we only booked for one night and wouldn’t have stayed a second day even if we had paid for it. We felt sorry for the two guys who were running the entire operation for some corporate entity that obviously had no interest in...
