$15 admission. Good trails! There was not a good map and unclear way finding at the beginning so we accidentally ended up on the horse trail which was VERY hard. Once it crossed with the trail we were supposed to be on then it was nice. We saw a toucan, some monkeys and another large bird I canโt remember the name now. You can reach to the bottom of the lava flows and if youโre lucky with the weather see the top of the volcano. There is also standup paddle and kayaks you can rent here but the lake is very small. No access to lake arenal from here. We had almost purchased the admission that includes this but glad we didnโt. The trails took long enough that we were quite tired and satisfied with our trip. Red trail adds too much time and there is nothing great about it other than added extra hour to a hike by basically walking on boulders without any additional views - just because itโs a hard hike it shouldnโt mean that there no reward for doing it. Skip the red trail. Lagoon is ok for photos with the volcano, not sure I would want to swim in it. Lots of hummingbirds...

No, it is not a national park and, yes, $15/pp is probably on the high end for an entrance fee but we found it be an absolute bargain.
