The worse hotel I ever experienced with a cheap motel in Dominican Republic, or a ghetto motel in USA, first they card reader decided not to work even know they said no problem we take card before I arrived, I'm having to wait a hour at the bank cause not all machines work there, walk a mile and I come back with my luggages after I just flew and the machine work now then the phonie smiling front desk guy give me my key for my two weeks reservation and I walk up there and it's a very tiny room with small TV and nothing else, the WiFi never work ($24 in costa Rica its a lot for a hotel tiny room) I check the shower it has no curtain and just cold water and a weird step to the door witch made me trip while the floor was so slippery, no mat! I fall on my left hip and leg harshly and it really hurt, and the staff walked by and laughed by my window, they knock and try to open your door at night and keep laughing in the hallway all night and cleaning ladies keep walking back and forth by my window and knock twice a day even after I ask them not too, I felt harassed there, there nothing in the room just a TV and tiny closet space , the bed is small and old and the worse part is the window is super thin and you are a metre from all this other room so you hear everything all the time, they don't respond to anything you ask . I couldn't wait to get out of there, don't go they act nice at first and once you in it's a different story. No coffee or food to buy, no soap or shampoo, this only thing they give you is a towel not...
Read moreThis is your everyday average run of the mill hotel, cheap and quick fix for getting in and out of town. Although the room was clean the bathroom had a funky smell, it wasnt terrible or anything like that, just funky thats all but hey whose hanging out in the bathroom right. Not sure about elevator cuz i was on 2nd flr. Rooms were ok beds a lil stiff, tv was ok, fan worked ok. NO a/c. Windows only opened up to hall way of hotel to get a breeze. WIFI works great in the rooms though. Would definitely stay again IF I had to but now I know of other places so probably not, only saying I know of place with a/c down the street for $10 more. But if your looking for absolute dirt cheap and halfway decent place to stay maybe for the night cuz of early flight or bus departure than this is it. I thought the area is safe, couple lil cafes right next door and stuff. right off of calle 20, the police dept is 1 block away from the hotel. I walked from hotel all the way to central park by myself. I didnt think it was dangerous, just keep your wits dont be staring at phone, travel, walk and carry yourself like a seasoned vet. remember people are...
Read moreI chose this hotel because of its 24 hour service, as we came into San Jose CR on a late flight and needed late check in. The clerk was amazingly nice. She didnt speak English but we managed with Google translate. Since the parking lot was locked, she told us we could park in front of the hotel and nothing would happen to our fancy rental car- we were skeptical but she was right. The hotel is totally basic but clean. The tiny room with no windows to the outside. was fine for one night. The mattresses were clean as was the linen. However the even tinier bathroom had a terrible odor and the faucet was unsteady. Showering was not for the faint-of-hearted. There was a safe on one of the shelves. Since the doors lock is basic I wouldnt leave valuables there. There was a small shared refrigerator next to the reception, that was adequate for our needs. nFor the most part it was quiet and we awoke early to get out of San Jose before the traffic. There is no elevator but we had no problem with the clean and wide, well...
