I made a reservation, and at the time I arrived at the restaurant was pretty much empty, yet, I was given the crampiest trench next to the exit, when there were several other tables for two available and never used in our 1 hour or so in the restaurant. Also, there was not a single time whee the waiters addressed my wife beyond asking her want she wanna eat, c'mon it's 2023 already, just because I'm the man that doesn't mean my wife can't make her own decisions and request. To make things funnier my wife ended up paying the bill.
As for the food, taste is good, portions adequate, natural drink was fantastic and beyond what I described above the waiters were okay-ish mediocre. Also, beyond the lamps and the waiters dress code there is 0 Lebanese atmosphere.
One last thing, the entrance rotating door is awful, please remove it or make it wider, nobody wants to enter in a restaurant grabbing as much attention as going in 1-by-1 because a rotating door that barely fits a skinny...
Read moreThis place location is in paseo colon. Very convenient loved the decor and the style of music played. It really conveys my country.
As far as the service it is superb, attentive and fast, and they also speak Arabic which is very convenient.
The food tastes good and authentic. We ordered tabule, hummus, baba ghannouj, falafel and two shawarma sandwiches. Chicken and beef.
Tabule is 5 stars. Hummus is 3. Baba ghannuj is 4. Falafel is 5. Chicken shawerm is 5. Beef shawerma is 4.
The only thing i didn't like about the beef shawerma is in my opinion the wrong ingredients inside the sandwich. But the flavor of the beef is very good. It doesn't take lettuce and fries, and it is missing onions.
Hummus is too thick and missing some flavor but overall very high quality nothing a little bit of lemon juice and tahini wouldn't fix.
I over all enjoyed the experience. The check was a little bit high but hey it is san jose and everything is...
Read moreEating vegan in a foreign country is tough, so when we stumbled on this space in San Jose, we knew we wanted some falafel wraps!
We found the space - a little hole in the wall - and opened the door to a strange rotating door with canvas. We barely made it through with all of our luggage with us, but when we made it into the front room, it was a very cute space, well decorated. WE keep walking in and are welcomed to sit in a space with floor pillows and corner benches with amazing ambient lighting and stone walls.
Not only was the ambience great, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating!
We ordered falafel wraps with a side of hummus and everything was so good. We needed food after a day of airplane travel and this was an AMAZING place to stumble upon. Would recommend to anyone in the mood for Lebanese food!
Thank you for the food and...
