Pupa House Hotel — Hotel in Tamarindo

Such an incredible experience, it was so much more that I thought it would be! Facilities and pod were super clean and nice, they provide you with your own locker which has plenty of space and a small safe box (bonus points)! Besides the obvious experience, the pod was spacious, very cozy, adjustable temperature and even had for phone charging + different settings of lightning and colors. As you wake up and open your pod to go out, first thing you see is the gorgeous butterfly garden behind the window. The food OMG, to die for, healthy and yummy! Made by Nico with very unique and special ingredients. Lastly, I appreciate immensely the host, Gaspar, who was very kind and attentive to my arrival the whole time. I got there around midnight, he patiently waited for me to come and received me. Huge shoutout to the staff Nico, Josefina, Gaspar, Cris and the owner, who were super lovely since the very beginning! This was an amazing 11 out of 10 experience and fully recommend it to whoever wants a cool, budget friendly place to stay with a twist, (not everywhere you get to find a pod to sleep in and comfortably).

My stay at Pupa house was amazing, the staff were absolutely fantastic and they took such good care of me during my stay that i felt like I was home throughout. The hotel was clean and comfortable and I felt incredibly safe even walking back after midnight. They have a security person on shift who keeps and eye out which was very reassuring when you're alone. The food I had was incredible, very topical Costa Rica which I loved eating on their roof terrace with amazing panoramic views of the mountains and the sea. This hotel is a little further away from the centre (5-10 minutes) so sleeping was easy without the hustle and bustle of central Tamarindo when there are parties going on. Overall this was a 10/10 for me and I couldn't recommend it enough.

The hotel is also affiliated with a charity who strive to improve patient's experiences by providing equipment for them to do their treatment at home so I was more than happy to support them by staying there. The proceeds from the butterfly garden goes towards it. A wonderful place with a...

Firstly I want to say I’m not writing this review for a free coffee as I forgot. However I am writing this review as this is the definition of a passion business. It’s still in the early stages of working out the kinks which makes this a very personal experience as this is a hostel that just opened. Everyone was kind the culture that emits from this place is evident, example a part owner took the time to show us an amazing location. The concept is cool the vision and infrastructure is there ! I would say two things bring a blanket as it does get weirdly cold in the middle of the night (I’m Canadian so like like it) secondly bring sandals/ flip flops aa I found it hard to walk on the floor.
