Where does one start ? Well having only stayed an Hour ..at this Joke of a “apartment”|| (before running back to Tamarindo||Village hotel) ||I knew I made a Huge mistake the second I walked in.. cramped||tiny courtyard .. zero Privacy... it’s goes on and on||The suite I had has Never been Renovated!|| Ever like since 1960! ||||A truly nasty Run down place worth about 10$ a night..! From the minute he opened the cheap||Glass door I knew I made a serious error based on REVIEWS! ||1) The beds are super OLD coil mattresses..||Like 30+ years||Old no joke||2) The 2 burner hot||Plate didn’t work - and took 5||Mins to||Melt butter ( which is why I left the other hotel||Seeking an equipped kitchen and less||Incline and stairs ||3) White chunks of||God||Knows what we’re spewing out of the kitchen sink tap!||4) 20 ur old Air conditioner and OnLy in the bedroom which was small||Cramped||||5)The “apartment was 5 feet form||The pool||W huge glass||Windows .. and like 3 feet of outdoor uncovered space is their “terrace” ||||6)The bedroom wall had gross dried Stains dripped and frozen in time ||And water leak marks on the ceiling .. above the bed||||7)the bathroom was nasty ||And Old and rotting Taps stained floors || etc the only nice thing was the way the toilet paper was||Folded! Which I was informed u ||||8) Cannot even flush - the toilet||Paper??||Ya no thanks ||9) old Worn out||Mini fridge ||10) paper thin walls and literally people in the TINY 10x4 pool||Looking at me || 5 ft away ||||Just plain Nasty and Cheap|| total Rip||Off .. u can pretend to like it if u want or u can do||What I did and get the hell||Out of there before u actually have to sleep there on that rickety old||Bed ...|| I paid||Him $60||For the night in case I couldnt return to||My||Previous (Great ) hotel in comparison ||and got||Him||To||Cancel||My booking it was just THAT BAD and insulting to||Me . I was going to try and stick it out but could t bear to do that to||Myslef “just because”||Of the $||And Fled the second I could and told||Him||To||Keep the $60 and left the keys in the suite ||||I’d give it a zero||Out if 5 if I could ...|||| Im||So grateful I do not have to sleep there||I didn’t even want to||Touch anything it felt so gross in there |||||| The owner has invested ZERO into upgrades of this money grabbing slum-hotel and it is in Extremely Shameful taste to act like||The owner had no idea what I was concerned about and said he had no idea that the TAP WATER was riddled w White chunks ???? Sure ||I’ll||Add a photo ! To be honest||One wud be better at taking their chances in a hammock outdoors than suffer through this cramped||Stuffy old rotting bargain motel||||It’s a whole new Type||Of nastiness I never expected to||Endure ... ||||||Just beyond an unacceptable And extremely Imaccurate reviews .||People||Are way to||“Fake nice”||And politically correct||||I’ll||Say it then It’s a very scummy || OVERrated Substandard “hostel” only teenagers would appreciate || if anything ||||Just gross ||I came back to||My||Real||Hotel and had a shower after...

I stayed here for a week and will give an in depth review of the pros and cons and what to be mindful of.|Pros :|- Good location- walking distance to everything but enough of a distance for peace and quiet . ( be mindful it Is on a dirt road and in a hill - very typical of Costa Rica though)|- house keeping done daily and done well. |- air conditioning in bedroom |- no issues with hot water or pressure |- no issues with WiFi |- surrounded by pretty lush gardens |- secured / locked front gate at all times |-well lit||Cons :|The pool isn't very large but this wasnt an issue being there in down season as any time I was in it I was the only one ...during busier times of year this may be an issue |- no real room outside to sit and enjoy the scenery |- if you are looking to be able to cook a decent meal this is limited. Hot plate took a good 20 mins to even warm up . ( no stove)|-Small bar fridge - freezer did not keep food frozen|- bathroom was a bit worn and dated - dirt/scum/ on walls , taps, grout, showers |- some towels had holes in them - didn't bother me but they were well used |- although windows have bars on them 2 of my units windows did not lock properly |- next door had 3-4 barking dogs ( I know this is out of the hotels control) but worth knowing at times the noise got annoying. ||Overall a cute hotel with the basics you need and located close to great restaurants. We stayed in cottage 1. It had a separate bed room, stocked kitchen, refrigerator, table with two chairs, counter with stools a twin bed in living room area and a small outside patio with two chairs. The patio is small but it is fine for two people. The rooms are all located around a pool that is well maintained and refreshing. Never heard any other guests, nice and quiet. Our only complaint is the air in the bedroom is the only unit for the entire cottage. This cottage gets the afternoon sun all day and get quite hot. To be fair my husband spoke with Cedrick prior to us booking the room so we were fully aware. But with the heat in Tamarindo, the unit gets very hot. We closed the bed room door at night and the air was perfect in there. It would be nice if the cottage had a larger or possibly two units. Hotel is in a quiet location. Located on same road as the bar fly. We felt safe walking to town day or night. The road has street lights and there are usually other people out and about. We enjoyed going to the restaurants for dinner near the hotel and staying away from the hustle of town (near the water). The beach is an easy walk. We would stay her again and have recommend it...
