Grill&BBQ House Porta Bragadina — Restaurant in Grad Cres

Away from the hustle and bustle of the Cres waterfront, this restaurant, or rather a roastery, offers a wide range of dishes. From čevapi to Fiorentina. Although the prices are higher than in other establishments, the same small dishes are tasty and present in sufficient quantity. The rumsteak is just right, and the grilled squid does not leave an aftertaste of rancid oil. The waiter is polite and unobtrusive. The only complaints are the olive oil of an unknown manufacturer and the dirty and sticky oil and vinegar container with pieces...

We stopped here for breakfast in Cres on the way to Mali Lošinj. Even though they usually don't serve breakfast here, Yelena offered us to prepare us some eggs and improvise something.

So we went for eggs and chose a plate from the starter menu. Also we got an amazing homemade marmelade and bread on the house. Everything was tasting very good and we were super satisfied. It also happened to be Yelena's birthday, and we got delicious chocolate cake from her at the end!

We had dinner and the food was really good, definitely worth a visit. The only unusual thing was the payment: our bill was €44,50 and I gave a €50 note. The waiter took the money but never returned with the change. We hadn’t explicitly said to keep it, and we didn’t signal in any way, so it felt a bit awkward.
