The hotel boasts a fantastic location with the significant convenience of an accessible parking garage. A standout feature is the tunnel connecting the garage directly to the hotel, allowing for a comfortable, dry arrival even during inclement weather. The rooms are pleasant and well-maintained, although a closer look reveals minor signs of wear on details like the faucet, doorknobs, and ceiling vent in the bathroom. The only thing which we would like to see added in the room is a suitcase holder. We were pleased with the breakfast, which offered a variety of choices with mostly quality ingredients. Throughout our stay, the staff was welcoming, informative, and unobtrusive, contributing to a positive experience.
The pool's location across the street might be a slight inconvenience for some, but it is an understandable compromise given the unique landscape of Opatija. Where the hotel has a clear opportunity for improvement is in its wellness and spa experience. While the wellness staff was exceptionally polite and helpful, we encountered two significant issues in the sauna area that prevented us from fully enjoying it. Firstly, the wood in the Finnish sauna became excessively hot, making it almost impossible to sit or even stand on the benches. It seemed the wood was not of a suitable type or treatment for a sauna, as it retained and conducted heat to an uncomfortable degree, feeling more like hot ceramic tiles.
Secondly, the atmosphere in the sauna and relaxation area was compromised by other guests' behavior. Despite clear signage indicating a textile-free (FKK) environment and a prohibition on mobile phones, approximately 90% of the guests were wearing swimsuits, even inside the saunas, and about half were actively using their phones. This disregard for the rules detracted from the intended tranquil and authentic sauna experience. We did mention this to the staff, but unfortunately, the situation did not change. For the hotel to elevate its offering, it would be beneficial for the wellness staff to politely and proactively inform guests of the proper etiquette to ensure the space remains a respectful and relaxing sanctuary...

Read moreAt first, we were skeptical about this hotel due to some of the reviews we had read. Nevertheless, we decided to go, keeping our expectations low.||To our surprise, the hotel exceeded all our expectations. Both breakfast and dinner were exceptional—top-quality ingredients, beautifully presented. For dinner, there was fresh fish, salmon, tuna… and in the mornings and evenings, prosciutto was always available. The food was truly on another level.||The staff in the restaurant were professional, polite, and attentive, which added to the overall positive experience.||The rooms were newly renovated with a luxurious feel—excellent bed for sleeping, fluffy pillows and duvets, and plenty of small thoughtful touches that made the stay truly extraordinary. For example, if you didn’t bring a beach bag, they provide one in the room for you to use—such a simple gesture, but incredibly practical and appreciated.||The infinity pool, spa, and saunas with breathtaking sea views were just stunning. Honestly, those views alone are worth the price. There were plenty of loungers and shaded areas, so everyone could find their own perfect spot.||Parking costs €20 per day, which at first seemed a bit high—but considering that public parking on the street is €25.50 per day, the garage is actually a good deal.||Suggestions for improvement:||– A drying rack in the room for swimwear and towels would be helpful, especially if you don’t have a balcony.||– On the pool terrace, water from the upper level sometimes drips onto the loungers below. This could easily be solved by adding gutters.||– In the spa area, it was too hot on the loungers and there was no real way to cool down unless you moved to the pool area in another room.||- It would be nice if still tap water was offered free of charge with dinner.||Overall excellent experience and we will definitely be...
