Stoja camp has a beautiful location, clear see and nice lots, but my general opinion is unfortunatelly quite bad. Half ruined houses in the camp, tree trunks, abandoned swiming failities and a neglected fortress left me wondering what the plan of the owner actually is.From what I saw, I think it is purely keeping the costs as low as possible and "milking" the guests with high prices - I had to pay for a child (age 5), which in most of the camps in Croatia stays for free. There are not enough bathroom objects, some are in terrible shape, some even dangerous because of sharp corners, broken faucets, ripped shower hoses and so on. Camp does not recycle waste and a few garbage containers bins are inconveniently located all together and in only few places in camp.. Beaches have ZERO infrastructure - no piers or docks (apart from the shocking abandoned public swimming area) or entry/exit ladders on the rocky beaches for an easy access to the sea. There are also no beach showers. The main pebble beach outside of the camp, which is the only suitable beach for small kids has very little place onshore and again zero infrastructure apart from boat service with questionable quality of their fleet. Oh, not to mention I did no't hear a single "thank you" from the receptionists or shop assistants in the market. Actually when i arrived at the reception to make checkout and asked to make a checkout, the receptionis on the other side of the counter nodded with her head to her right, indicating to step over to her colleague - without a greeting or explanation. I have no ideas how people like her can work in tourism and hospitality industry. The only good words I have are for the cleaning lady and security at the ramp. And by the way, I work in tourism for over 10 years, so you can consider this review a...

All in all a very nice camping site on a beautiful peninsula with good infrastructure, quiet and with nice cliffs in front of the mobile homes.

So far it would have been perfect - if they would not have played tricks on us with the costs of the air condition: When we arrived, they gave us a Card for the activation of the air condition in the mobile home. We said, we would not need it, but the man at the reception told us, that it would be no problem to take it optional, because only these days we in fact would use the air condition will have to be paid. The card would record the number of days, when air condition is used. If we did not use it, we will not have to pay for it.

Due to the nice temperatures beneath the trees we did not use the air condition during our stay at all. Not a single time. But when it came to paying, the lady at the reception ("Jesna") took 10,- € for every day of our stay. She said, they do not have the tecnical equipment to read from the air condition cards, if the air condition was used or not. As soon one takes an air condition card from the reception, he will have to pay for it. "Jesna" was not willing to find a compromise, not even to hear our arguments.

At the end - after some arguing - we paid the 10,- € for every single day of our stay for an air condition we had not wanted to have and we had not used.

I do not know, if the man at the check-in played the trick on us or "Jesna" during the check-out - to be honest: I do not care. An enterprise, that treats its customers in a way we have been treated does not need customers - at least not me...

The camping has an amazing location. Positioned on a peninsula, there is acces to the cristal-blue sea everywhere around. Beautiful. Temperature is nice due to a see breeze. But that is where the nice story ends. Upon arrival, the staff was very rude. We didn't get any information, they only handed us a plastic card with the lot number. We didn't get to choose a place. The camping also required to have an ID-card at the reception at all times, even though we had given our credit card information at reservation. This was very inconvenient as we wanted to visit Slovenia and Italy. The staff was not helpfull in any way and shielded themselves behind "camp policy". The first 4 nights we weren't able to sleep due to extreme night noise. The beats of a nearby disco were extremely loud. It started around 10 pm and lasted until 6 am and even 8 am! According to the reception, this was only a small party and of no concern. The last nights (weekend) the disco started playing again. There were also not enough showers and not enough sinks. Every evening from 4 pm to 10 pm there was a line for the showers. Same for the sinks. The last most awful thing were cockroaches. We saw cockroaches running around the camping. Even though we closed our tent allways and all the food stored inside the tent was in closed bags, there were still cockroaches inside our tent every evening. At home, we unpacked everything again to check for cockroaches....

I'm really perplexed how this campsites gets such a high rating. We booked it like most would've from looking at the stunning pictures on the website. First the good: The reception is new and gives an excellent first impression. Secondly, the new restaurant is lovely and serves up very good food. For us, that where it ended. The pitches have very little order to them and it comes across as a refugee camp - people pitch whereever they want. Also lots of people littering outside their tents. Not enough electric hookups for the number of motorhomes so most people were splitting the sockets - which caused a couple of tripped fuses. The showers are basically "outside" - you walk into the shower from the outside - they're small and dirty and in dire need of repair (broken tiles etc). The showers also have no seat or a shield of any kind to stop your clothes from getting wet. Not enough laundry facilities for this "huge" site meaning very long walks and waits. It looks like an old Nepolionic fort that that crumbled over time. The dog walk area is dreadful. Facilities that have been forgotten about over time such as the basketball courts. An old boarded over disco. The beach is nice but very crowded on the flatter part. I'd never go back. I also hate giving my passport out when on holiday but they take it from you.

Close to downtown of Pula. We had bikes and the ride was maybe 15 minutes. Close to shopping also. Pros: - Loads of pitches so during September there is room for sure - Sunset view was magnificent - Water is clear (loads of jellyfishes in some areas though where wind had pushed them) Cons: - Reception staff not super clear on their instructions. Told us to go to look for a place, we found one and did a quick setup and went back to the reception to let them know what spot we took and they said it was reserved. So what we should have done was find a bunch of pitches and go back to reception and ask if some of them are free. People noticeably were just panicking for the best spots. - Wifi doesn't work - With ton of pitches and people it can be noisy - Bathrooms not the most modern - Some pitches are on the slope and not very straight. The ones that have shade can be hard to park your camper in since the trees and the pitches are so close of one another.
