Verslag van hoe wij het Hotel Modo in Pula, Kroatië hebben ervaren: Op de eerste dag aten wij bij dit hotel-restaurant en de prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding klopt echt niet. De prijs was erg hoog en de kwaliteit was minder (veel zout). Later gaf ik aan dat ik een box met tissues miste op de hotelkamer. De eigenaar gaf aan dat dit niet hoort bij een '4* hotel' Ik wou dit wel graag hebben, maar kreeg dit niet. Ik vind dat dit wel hoort bij een 4* hotel en ik heb er al veel bezocht en altijd was er een box met tissues. De prijs van de kamer en de overnachting is exorbitant hoog te noemen. Echt veel te veel geld. Dit gaan we natuurlijk niet meer doen, maar het kon op dat moment even niet anders. De uitzicht van de kamers waren wel adembenemend en het ontbijt was goed te noemen. Er is één vrouwelijke medewerker in de ochtend die letterlijk alles doet. Van de balie runnen, ontbijt klaar zetten, koffie zetten, gasten bedienen, etc Ze werkte zich het schompes. Tijdens ons verblijf hoorde wij alleen maar jazz achtige muziek. Waar we ons erg aan stoorden. We vroegen de muziek te veranderen, maar dit werd niet toegestaan door de eigenaar. Heel vreemd dit en ook omdat de eigenaar er bijna nooit was. Er zijn wel een paar activiteiten in de buurt, waaronder het bezoeken van de Pier en diverse kiezelstrandjes waar je kan zonnen, zwemmen en div. watersporten kan doen zoals waterskiën, snorkelen en kajakken. Verder kan je er een lekker ijsje eten en als je wilt wat te eten/drinken en er is een bakkerij op de hoek, die dagelijks vers brood bakt. Tevens is er een groot campingcomplex. Wat ook wel noemenswaardig is, is de city mall. De city mall is eigenlijk op loopafstand te bereiken en is zeker een bezoekje waard. De kamers zien er op het eerste gezicht goed uit, maar als je gedetailleerd kijkt dan ontdek je het volgende: Verroeste rek waar de wc rollen en handdoeken op liggen. De wc pot was onder de rand niet schoongemaakt, allemaal viezigheid. De plafonnière/lampenkap zat vol met overleden insecten. De kasten die niet goed dicht gingen. (matige kwaliteit en dat voor een 4* hotel) Tevens bij de badkuip sloot de randen niet goed aan en hadden we veel last van water overloop bij het douchen. Alleen bij aankomst kregen wij alleen 2x1 sachet met daarin wat douchegel, shampoo en 1 stukje normale zeep. Daar mochten we het mee doen met ons verdere verblijf van 5 nachten. Ik greep tijdens het scheren mis, wat erg vervelend was. Bij een 'normale 4* hotel' krijg je gewoon flesjes vol met douchegel, shampoo en div. stukjes zeep. Er was een satelliet -tv met heel veel (5000) kanalen, maar niet één Nederlands kanaal. Beetje jammer en dat voor een 4* hotel Overigens waren de kamers erg gehorig. Als de buurman ging douchen kon je meegenieten. Jammer genoeg was er geen hotelzwembad die we wel hadden verwacht bij een '4* hotel' Ik had m'n zwembroek bij me, maar helaas... Wij zijn Nederlandse toeristen die een vakantie genoten in het prachtige Kroatië, Pula en nee wij zijn géén concurrenten!

Beautiful newly modern build hotel with walking distance from the beach.The friendliest hotel staff I’ve ever met, everybody super nice, supportive & professional! This creates a super warm and relaxing atmosphere at the hotel. The food was excellent!! The manager went the extra mile to meet all our needs and we had a fantastic and comfortable stay. The hotel is modern with nice decor. Our room was super clean and very large with the balcony overlooking the sea. The bathroom was very clean, modern and spacious with a super relaxing jet shower. The hotel is 15-20 minutes away from the city centre by bus (No 1) and a few walks away from the beach. The bus stop is near the hotel and it is the last bus stop, so you can't miss the stop or hotel if you want to travel by bus. It goes every 20 min and the bus also stops at the front of the covid test building in the city centre and main Pula bus station. The hotel also has its own parking and good Wi-Fi quality. Ja ! Es ist schwierig zu erklären! Die Angestellten waren nett und freundlich das vorweg ! Nun zum Hotel selbst ! Das Deluxe Zimmer ist etwas größer als die Standardzimmer was im ganzen nicht notwendig wäre ( reinfall) . Bei diesen Preisen könnte auch ein Begrüßungswasser auf Zimmer sein .Denn : wir wurden jeden Tag durch ein Dröhnen von der Lüftung um halb7 Uhr geweckt , die von der Küche hoch kommt. Zum anderen hatten wir Zimmernachbarn die jeden Tag um 7 Uhr aufstanden und das Bad ja normal benutzen wird. Der Geräuschpegel so laut das wir alles hörten. Sei es die Zahnbürsten,Deospray und und vieles mehr. Auf Zimmer gab es zwar Tee und Wasserkocher aber keinen Zucker dazu und wurde auch nicht regelmäßig aufgefüllt.Der Balkon hatte auch keine Sonnenmarkiese wie die anderen Zimmer auch, nicht einmal eine kleine Lampe so wie die anderen Balkone sondern nur ein großes .Die Stühle am Balkon aus Hartplastick und unbequem zu sitzen.""Fernseher war schön groß und alle Programme"". Das Bett war auch super und ordentlich. Das Bad: Denke eher es sollte früher ein Apartment werden,denn wer baut schon eine Badewanne ein. Für ältere Menschen echt schwer ein und auszusteigen (60cm hoch) , rutschgefahr !! Keine hacken für Handtücher, man bedenke 2 Personen/ 4 Handtücher. Das Bidet und die Badewanne kann raus und dafür eine schöne große Dusche. Wir waren max. 20 min. beim Frühstück und in dieser Zeit war das Zimmer schon gereinigt ( mehr auf zack zack ) so richtig sauber war es nicht . Das Frühstück: ist normal angerichtet , für jeden was dabei. Nur mit den Brötchen/ Brot da gab es nicht viel zur Auswahl. Wer früher Frühstückt hat die Chance besseres Brot zu bekommen. Was auch traurig ist! Es sind nur 12 Zimmer und die bekommen es nicht hin für jedes Zimmer einen Tisch zu machen. Es gab nicht einmal Salz/ Pfefferstreuer für jeden Tisch , echt traurig. Auch die Terrasse war nicht einladend für die Urlaubsgäste aufgestellt wir hätten gerne so Abends noch was getrunken bei Kerzenschein und angenehmer Musik. Ach : die Straße führt ja direkt daneben und es ist wirklich eine starke Lärmbelästigung von lauten Autos und Motorräder . IM GROßEN UND GANZEN: DAS PREIS LEISTUNGSVERHÄLTNIS PASST GAR NICHT ! Jeder sollte sein Geld verdienen aber hier nicht. Wir hatten unseren Urlaub dementsprechend genossen, Wasser war schön und in den umliegenden Restaurants kann man gut essen. Am Kreisverkehr ist die Bushaltestelle und mit dieser kommt man mit 2€ pr. Person in die Stadt.

A fraught trip from Southend airport due to large numbers of passengers and only two screening lanes being in operation nearly made us and a number of other travellers late for our flight.|On arrival at Pula we took a taxi direct to Hotel Modo and on arrival were pleasantly surprised at both the look and location of the hotel itself.|Clean lines and a high quality finish immediately told us we were in a great quality hotel.|We arrived just after 10.00 but were not due to check in until after 14.00 - not a problem for us, we arranged for our bags to be stored and were heading to the local bus stop (50 yards away) for town when we realised breakfast was still being served. A quick chat with the concierge and we were invited to partake. A good selection of Continental Breakfast items were available and this truly set us up for the day. |We headed to town and arrived back to check in to our room around 17.00. |Superb!|Fantastic double sea view due to the location of the hotel at the top of a peninsula from our lovely large balcony (a couple of sun beds wouldn’t go amiss - there was plenty of room). The bed was enormous and very comfortable.|Large bathroom with a lovely strong shower (in the bath as opposed to ‘walk-in)|The standard of decoration was very good and the small fridge, whilst not stocked was handy for our bottles of water.|We ate in the restaurant on our first night on the terrace overlooking the beach...idyllic! The food was very good and the waiting staff very attentive.|All in all a...

We went there ,after a booking mistake,therefor without reservation..and we got a room..at 10 AM in de morning,just like that ..The room was TOP,i mean..we saw the 4** everywhere..starting with the young Lady on the Reception,who was laughing all the time,giving you the vacantion vibe..the Breakfast TOP..you had the chance to eat everything,starting from the eggs,ham,Bacon..plates full with everything..grilled vegetables..fruits..i mean everything..they even change the Menu every day..self mades Local dishes..TOP..the cleaning lady is so sweet..until we ate our breakfast,she cleaned our room..i mean cleaned..even the Floor was washed up 😍..we went to the beach every day and we even get Free Ice for our Drinks Bag from there..the things that surprised us was that we decided tp stay at the Hotel on our last night..we had some drinks there and before the Receptionist was gone,he asked us of we want to order somenthing..we did..and he even brought us some self made Cocktails,on the house(Special Recepie)..as a thank you for our staying ..I mean were do you get that now a days..TOP TOP TOP..this is our Favorite Place in Croatia,starting...

We stayed here for 6 days and we have no complaints. Service was great and friendly, the restaurant at the hotel offers some really great food. It's modern, new and just built. Everything was clean and barely used, the air condition was good and quiet. Peaceful enviroment and quiet hotel. Right outside the hotel is a nice beach were we went for a swim every morning, a little further in on the peninsula (about 700 metres from the hotel) is a LOVELY beautiful cliffy beach with coves great for snorkeling or cliff diving. There is also a patch with small pebbles that makes it accessible for children and seniors. It's absolutely amazing, best beach in the area, and we tried all of them. All in all, great location, good price, quiet and clean hotel with friendly staff that go out of their way to help you with anything you need. I had a head ache from the sun one evening and they brought up something like aspirin for me to our room. When our taxi transfer didn't show up at the airport the owner came and personally picked us up! AMAZING service. We loved our stay and we will be sure to come back next...
