Hotel & Bar Squero — Hotel in Grad Rovinj

We stayed 4 nights and had breakfast included. First step in..Hotel room was clean and equiped with working fridge with ice part for 2beers. Air condition was at the moment used for heating(cold and rain a week before we came).Floor heating in toilet /shower (bathroom) was full on so it was hot for first moment but we opened huge window and fresh sea breaze cooled our place quickly. Weather was perfect, sunny with morning temp. +8,9,10°C , max 20 with an occasional blow of fresh wind. Breakfast was freshly made for each person separately. Ham&eggs was my morning routine. Some good cheese, Fresh juice,fruits and automatic coffee. Clean tables, cutlery, glasses. We had room 302. A quick elevator ride and back to room. View,dear lord, the view from patio is a mio $. Photo will tell you everything. From hotel you have 6min walk to old part of town where there is lots of little shops to snoop around, restaurants to have lunch/dinner and other things to see. The other way you have 10km circle, next to sea, walk in beautiful nature. 55min of car ride do to Pula to see Aquarium. Also recommending. Friendly family staff, helped one way or another. Good,nice people!

Positive: Location, The patio view, Huge shower / bed, Breakfast, Friendly staff!

Negative: -Bathroom smell after shower was not pleasant out of the drain. Not sure why. -7am kitchen breakfast smell of baking eggs arrived in to the room through the ventilation. I hope they can fix this. I would seriously want to know this if i would be thinking about booking. I am sure they will do anything to fix this. Mybe it was just weather pressure or wrongly turned on...

Three nights in the large attic room at Villa Squero was enough for us to figure out that this as a special place and we were lucky to have found it. A very friendly and energetic housekeeper keeps Villa Squero sparkling clean. The hosts are naturally friendly and easy going and clearly love running this restaurant and hotel. The breakfast was a surprise as the croissants are baked fresh and includes a hot breakfast to order as well as a large continental style offering that includes a large selection of fresh cold cuts and cheese, a well stacked fridge with yogurts, cream cheese, juice et || cetera. It was excellent. We had a wonderful dinner there while watching the sunset. Amazing service and again surprised at the free before dinner drink, very generous glass of red house wine, free after dinner brandy and free dessert. Did we win a contest? In canada, I have been served lamb when I ordered a veggie burger(I was a vegetarian), have had hot squash soup spilled on my hand that left a nasty scald on my hand and barely received any acknowledgement from staff. Customer service at Villa Sqero to is excellent and it shows. Would stay here rather than a fancy hotel any day. And we enjoyed the beautiful nearby parks on bikes that are free for guests to use.
