In all our travels all over the world, I found this B&B and the owners Griet and Anri most exceptional. We were looking for a vegetarian place with local flavor and found them on Google. Griet was very quick in answering our questions and their website gave us a wealth of information that actually not only helped us booking our stay but plan our whole itinerary in Croatia. |Our arrival felt like we were going to a family. A very warm welcome with nice little treats. We had room 4, very clean modern layout. We could park our car in their compound. It is a lovely neighborhood only a fifteen minute walk from the main town. Griet had loads of information about the places and gave us English maps and brochures before we set out for our adventures every day. Her enthusiasm in helping us make most out of our trip was unmatched! A true ambassador for her beautiful country. |And how can we forget breakfast? It was gourmet and different every day. Eating in their covered patio complete with all sorts of herb plants, flowers and little tortoises in itself was a very relaxing experience even if you felt a bit irritated by being woken up by the church bells early in the morning. For us it was better and more natural than our iPhone alarm! One other plus was to meet different people from different parts of the world and exchange experiences and information. If one adds all up, this place is the best value for a very reasonable price.|In our case, Griet went so far to contact us right away after she found something important that we had left behind and was most helpful in sorting out our situation over multiple phone calls. I cannot thank her enough. |All in all, the comfort of the accommodation, the quality of the food and warmth of the hosts made our stay beyond our expectations.|I would have no hesitation suggesting Zadar as your base for touring most of southern Croatia particularly if you are lucky enough to land your reservation with the Kuka Bajlo. Highly recommend to book early and book...
Read moreI spent three days in the hospitable house with Griet and Anri. I am writing "hospitable house" because it was not a typical stay in a guesthouse or hotel ... I just felt at home there. My hosts are lovely people and they have created a lovely place too. My room was beautiful, fresh and had all the amenities (separate bathroom available, permanent access to the kitchen). The breakfasts were delicious, healthy, organic and (important to me) vegetarian. The surroundings - the garden and the house are beautiful and give you complete relaxation. The neighborhood in which they live is quiet and close to the beach. The city center and the old town are just a short drive or a short walk away. The station and the port are nearby. I must also add that in case of any trouble (a little loss in the city. Yes it is possible ...) Griet and Anri help in everything and save from every oppression. And attention! The house is also inhabited by extremely friendly animals. I sincerely hope that someday I'll be able to see Griet and Anri again - and be their guest. Because I know it's gonna be a...
Read moreThis is such a lovely place to stay and if you're a veggie even better. Having said the breakfast provided would suit anyone, lots of it too so you won't go hungry. The hosts are lovely, Griet was there waiting for me when i arrived with maps, info and lots of help as i was brand new to the area. Once you get your bearings Kuca Bajlo is only 5 mins walk from a lovely pathway which leads to both the ferrys in one direction, and the old town on the other. Either way its a beautiful walk with lots of great spots to stop and take in the coast and the water. As for the B+B my room was spotless, so clean and the bathroom was the same. I don't think my room had a TV but i imagine there was one in the sitting room if you needed it. In all honesty you'll be spending so much time out in the beautiful surroundings you won't miss it at all. And the price of the room was very good too. Griets husband give me a lift to the ferries where there was so much choices for day trips or overnight stays, he was so helpful. Would def stay here anytime i...
