Hostel Stadion — Hotel in Grad Zadar

Our first time staying in a hostel and it was fabulous! Lovely owner who was friendly, informative and had time to talk to us. Family were lovely too. The room was clean and stylish. We booked a room just for us both but there was room for 4 people as there was an additional single bed that had a pull out bed underneath. We feel so lucky as we thought we would have to compromise and not have a nice room being in a hostel but it was lovely! The personalised pin codes for rooms was a great touch and we felt safe. CCTV and the owner was their alot who appeared experienced. The shared kitchen and reception areas were nice too. I loved the succulent plants and lovely pots for them. We also loved having our own fridge, large windows which people could not see in from the front, airconditioning and spacious room.

Really great location. Plenty of food in the area. 20 minute walk to beach, old town, tours, and everything Zadar. I found every mall to be good. Galleria being the best for pricing. I went to Studenac market so much I'm practically besties with with store clerk. Everything is a code to open doors. The owner lives two doors away. I liked the pods style beds. Two towels are provided. A locking cabinet for your stuff. The kitchen is fully stocked with plates and cutlery. Many options for storage. Cupboards or fridge. The only issue I found was the towels smell mildewy. I fix that by running them through a wash with a few cups of vinegar. And the fridge stopped being cold last night. Hope everyone's food is okay.

Loved this hostel! Best I’ve stayed in so far. The building looked really run down from the outside and was a little confusing to find. This hostel is more unique as the rooms are in blocks of 3-4’s with a different code to access entry to each, making it super safe. I was in a block of 3 dorms / mine had 4 beds in, the others had 2 and 1 which we all shared a clean and modern kitchen within the block. My dorm was 4 bunk beds, with huge and accessible lockers, curtains and towels. The bathroom was new and modern and super clean. The price was amazing for the time I booked and the owner of this family run business was so friendly, informative and helpful as was his wife. I cannot find anything to suggest that they had not already thought of for every traveller. Would definitely recommend and...
