Garni Pension Elektra — Hotel in Cheb District

We had an apartment with three bedrooms (we only used two) and six beds. Two full rooms with king size beds and one small side room with two single beds. Everything was looking freshly renovated. The beds were OK and little on the hard side. The shower was good. There is no kitchen and few power plugs. Careful: there is no lift and we were on the fourth floor!||||The breakfast is from 7:30 to 10:00 in the restaurant downstairs and very good. There was good coffee, tea, milk, cereals, a great variety of rolls, sausage, cheese and hard boiled eggs. The landlord is extremely friendly and speaks English and German and …||We also had dinner three times in the restaurant, all good and at great value.||||The place is easy to find on the main road to downtown. The entrance to the yard is in the small one-way side road. There are usually enough parking spots for all residents. Parking on the street is with restrictions. Walking downtown can be done on the main road with some window shopping, or through the park (go to the right when exiting the building and then north). The walk takes about 15-20 min.||||We give full five points due to the excellent price quality ratio!||||Marienbad is a very beautiful old spa town with beautiful renovated buildings. There are many mineral water sources to try and many trails to walk into the surrounding woods. The weather was significantly cooler than e.g. in the Frankfurt area and we had more rain.||||Great tours go to Franzensbad (Spa town), Soos, Klatzko (natural reserved with interesting landscape and spring / volcanic activities), Karlsbad (Spa town) and Loket (great medieval city and castle).||||Food and great beer is never far and always well priced. We paid between 25 to 50 € for a family of three, being very full, as portions are rather large! You need to reserve for dinner or come early (6 pm).||||Enjoy this great region and fine...

The pension is located close to main streets so when you open the windows in the room, you hear the traffic.||Otherwise the rooms and nice and clean, the equipment is modern.||However our impression from the stay was totally ruined by rude and unpleasant waiters. ||We were a group of 20 people and wanted to have a dinner. We sat on the outside terrace because there was not enough space inside. We were waiting for waiter for a long time when he finally came, he behaved very bad. He took order just from one table and left. When he brought drinks, he just left them all on the table and told people to pick their own. He was obviously pissed off, that he has to work.||We ordered pizzas and the taste was ok, but the behaviour of the waiter cannot...

My mom got tip for this pension from her schoolmate. He said that it is perfect place for eating - local go there very often. We came there last day of our staying in Marianské Lázně. When we arrived restaurant was almost full. We ordered meat with potatoes and warm sauce. They brought me that sauce in a bowl for müsli. So, we thought that staff made mistake in our order but in 2 minutes staff brought sauce for my mom and also in a bowl for müsli.
