Post Office Manor Hotel — Hotel in Cheb District

After reading the reviews below I actually feel a bit better, as the stay at this Hotel was something I've never experienced before and got me thinking whether my friend and I haven't been continuously fooled. One of the few positive things that I can highlight on this otherwise old-fashioned facility run by unprofessional and unpleasant individuals were their rather spacious rooms. Also, wi-fi was good and fast, and in the end it was our only salvation. Now, to the downsides:|1. The staff. Hardly welcoming, rather emotionless, unfriendly and grumpy, starting from the reception, ending at the restaurant. No possibility to negotiate arrival, appointments whatsoever, not even mentioning extra requests, which we luckily didn't have. Because even us coming after work seemed to be absolutely unacceptable for Mr. Receptionist who desired to be gone by 7pm instead of dealing with such a complication as guests' arrival.|2. Food. As many mentioned below, there's no choice given, allergies, intolerances, diets aside - it doesn't exist here. If you were unlucky enough to order with your accommodation, you'll be granted with fried, unhealthy, hardly fresh meals - complete opposite of what is advertised on a menu by the entrance. At times we were suspicious whether this food was intended for humans at all. But worry not: luckily directly after you put a fork down, your meal will be cleaned by a waiter without a blink of an eye and no questions whatsoever. That actually can be even considered as providence.|3. Breakfasts. Are served from 8 till 10. But don't be surprised if the "cafeteria" is closed at 9:40 and food is all cleaned away. After all, you are just a guest here, breakfast is too much to ask for. Not worth it either to be honest: just a few things, bread, eggs, salty sausages.|4. Wellness topped it all up. The staff has no education about massages whatsoever. Extremely unprofessional. Won't let you undress, stare at you. Then, massage your chest and stomach (stroke, rather) with coconut oil and proclaim it "aroma massage". On your remark they'll reply: that's how it's done here. If you wanted to have your back massaged, you should've said beforehand. Absolute wtf moment. Luckily, for you, this torture lasts 7 minutes (instead of announced 30), which is in the end something you'll be grateful for when running out in disgrace.|Stay away from this place and it's so-called services, especially if you are from abroad and aren't used to...

The room was clean and spacious, the hotel is only good for sleeping and having shower there. The dinner lasts just one hour, it is from 6 to 7 and there is no choice. The waitress just brought half a kilo of knedliks covered with dill sauce and a small piece of dry meat, never even asked about allergies. We had a bottle of wine included in a package and the receptionist told that we can choose it, whereas the waitress didnt think so and got rid of the worst bottle they had! Breakfast was supposed to end at 10, at 9:40 we discovered it was already over and staff was really annoyed to bring the breakfast bread and butter back. The receptionist told us that especially for us they will serve dinner after 8, when we finish the "procedures" (i.e. the most unprofessional and disgusting massage and a nonexisting but paid wrapping ) which was a lie!! We had to negotiate to have our dinner taken in boxes to a room. Though we ended up feeding it to dogs.

The only worthy place...

Okolnosti: Měli jsme pobyt s polopenzí, jednou kávou + desertem a wellness na 3 dny (2 noci), termín 12. - 14. 9. 2017. Město: Ve městě krásně, zpívající fontána nádherná. Boheminium drahé, ale zajímavé. Jen by to chtělo méně německých turistů. A naneštěstí celé tři dny pršelo. Hotel: Na recepci příjemní. Pokoj slušný s koupelnou a záchodem. Nevýhodou bylo, že byly na dvoulůžkovém pokoji 2 jednotlivé postele, takže i když se srazili k sobě, tak byl mezi matracemi prostor, kam jeden z páru vždy padal částí těla. Jídlo: V ceně - tříchodové menu. Co se týče hlavního chodu, tak jídlo bylo chutné. Problém byl s bezlepkovou dietou, která však byla předem nahlášená telefonicky i na recepci. Při večeři o ní nevěděli a musel jsem se ohradit proti guláši s knedlíkem. Obsluha k tomu měla nemístné řeči. Jako dezert jablko. Druhý večer jsem byl bez polévky, protože neměli bezlepkovou náhradu. A jako dezert mi dali bábovku, takže jsem byl daný večer bez dezertu. Snídaně formou švédských stolů vyhovovala, jídla i nápojů dostatek, jen jsem si musel sehnat vlastní bezlepkové pečivo. A k odpolední kávě mi podali jako desert palačinku. Takže jsem opět měl jen kávu. Wellness: Pan masér příjemný a se zázračnýma rukama. Teplý zábal velmi uvolňující. Jen z dvou půlhodinových procedur bylo nakonec necelých 40 minut. Pobyt jsme si užili, ale některé maličkosti holt dobrý dojem zkazily. Celkové...
