I stayed here for two nights and can happily recommend it.
Check-in was quick and easy at the stationary shop right next door, and then I was shown to my room. Despite there being “No Smoking” signs on the main entrance and in the corridors, and a sign in my room stating that there would be a 40€ fine for anyone who smokes in the rooms, my room (#4) stank of cigarette smoke. Thankfully I went back to reception and asked if I could change rooms, which turned out to not be a problem at all.
My new room, compared to most hotel rooms, was extremely spacious. There was a small fridge and air purifier, as well as plenty of storage space. A nice touch was that two 0,33l bottles of mineral water were also included in the room. Of note, neither of the two rooms that I saw had shampoo or shower gel. There was some liquid hand soap in a dispenser above the sink however.
I opted to have breakfast during my stay, which was served next door in the cafe. I chose the simple option of bread, marmalade, cereal, coffee and fruit juice. This was all I wanted and was very good and well priced. There were other options which included eggs and meat. There was also a small bowl of apples, which the lady said I could take, once I had asked her. Everything was clean and bright, but the carpet was clearly very old and well worn.
The location for me was ideal. A 13 minute walk from the train station, and a 1 minute walk to the city centre. It is also in a very quiet area and I was able to sleep with the windows open without being disturbed.
For the price, friendliness of the staff, and great location, I can highly recommend...
Read moreWe stayed one night on a cycling holiday. The Penzion was easy to find as it was just off the main square. It is located as part of a new block which comprises the Penzion, a shop and a cafe with a car park in front. The building has no private space around it and therefore it is possible for anyone to walk right up to the ground floor Windows- as we had a room on the ground floor this made us feel a bit uncomfortable about opening a window at night. |The room itself was large and clean and shower worked fine. There was another room on the ground floor and I think three others which were let out on the first floor. Breakfast was served in the adjacent cafe and was adequate. The staff were friendly. When we arrived there was no one on site and there was a notice on the door with a telephone number to ring- someone arrived about 5 minutes...
