Hotel Element — Hotel in okres Český Krumlov

I found Lipno on google about 2 weeks before we booked our skiing trip. The hotel is in the best possible location for skiing, especially if you have kids and need to have a break between skiing. The room was great, the kids loved having the mezzanine floor. My toddler loved the play area and it was great to have that option while the older kids were skiing. The childcare was amazing too!! People at the reception were friendly and helpful. The room for ski equipment was really helpful, although as my eldest son pointed out it would have been even better if it was floor level because the stairs in ski boots are not easy! The mini bar inside the room is handy, especially with kids, even better if there was a microwave, for baby bottles, quick meals etc.

A few points: it would be helpful to have more hangers in the rooms for all the ski coats etc (there were no hangers on the mezzanine floor) It would be really handy if the door key/lipno card was like a watch to save having to take it out of the pocket all the time, really hard when carrying ski equipment and all the kids stuff. Breakfast was nice, but the kids missed having some more kid friendly options, like waffles, nutella, kid cereals, pancakes we got twice, but not syrup. We only allow these on holidays :P The shower pressure is quite weak, but I don't know if there is anything to improve that.

The area around the hotel is wonderful, a small supermarket, lots of restaurants. We tried one each night. The ski equipment rental is right under the hotel, so makes life really easy. The slope is about 50m and you can ski right up to the hotel. We will definitely come back!! Thank you for such a great first ski...

Lipno is a great place. The hotel was well below average and has glaring problems. I was necessary to pay for evening meal which breaks the experience and I dislike on holiday constantly having to pay someone every 5 mins.

The food was terrible, I had 3 attempts in the restaurant due to convenience of location. I had a pasta with about 20 full cloves or garlic in it and a pool of oil in it - literally never seen anything like it. Day before last I got food poisoning and was the only one I travelled with from a cheese pizza(I thought would be safe) and spent the last day I was there in bed being terribly ill. It was the only food I ate that my family did not - they were not ill.

The staff were not very pleasant although I dont think its their own fault and seemed a very mixed overworked bunch. For the quality the general pricing was overpriced.

The parking is not clear and they charge for it which leaves a bad taste when hotels do that. I parked in a location but marked as hotel element which was not clear that it was associated with another part of the hotel and they laughed at me on reception and said I was parked in the wrong place. The reception was generally not very welcoming.

I asked about the restaurant and other people getting ill, they said no, but i found it hard to believe that I would get any honesty as the whole thing seemed more focused on money extraction then providing a quality hotel service.

I would recommend Lipno, I would not recommend...

Sehr überbewertetes Hotel, das seinem Ruf nicht nachkommt und schlechten Service bietet.

Die Lage des Hotels ist im großen und ganzen recht toll. Es gibt einen hauseigenen Parkplatz, für den man aber 8€ pro Tag bezahlt. In unmittelbarer Nähe befindet sich ein großer Parkplatz, der zwar kostenlos ist, jedoch nicht überwacht wird.

Die Ankunft im Hotel verlief alles andere als gut. Aufgrund der Tatsache, dass wir bereit online eingecheckt sind, hat hier soweit alles gepasst. Als wir in unser Zimmer gegangen sind, stellten wir fest, dass dies nicht das von uns gebuchte Zimmer war. Wir gingen zur Rezeption zurück und wollten diesen Fehler korrigieren lassen. Keine Chance. Das Personal war sehr unfreundlich und überhaupt nicht Lösungsorientiert. Man gab der Online-Plattform die Schuld, bei der wir gebucht haben und uns wurde gesagt, man könne nichts machen. Obwohl wir die Buchungsbestätigung hatten und vorzeigen konnten, interessierte das keinen dort. Man sagte uns, das Hotel wäre ausgebucht, jedoch im Internet hätte man für denselben Tag noch genau die Zimmerkategorie buchen können, die wir gebucht hatten. Kurz gesagt, die Damen an der Rezeption interessierte es überhaupt nicht was unser Anliegen war.

Die Zimmer sind grundsätzlich nett eingerichtet, aber auch nicht wirklich empfehlenswert. Wir wurden nicht im Hotel, sondern in einem Nebengebäude untergebracht. Der Eingang zu den Zimmern führt durch ein Lokal, wobei die Beschilderung einfach weggelassen wird. Den Lärm des Lokal hört man auch in den oben angrenzenden Zimmer. Die Türschließer der Zimmertüren sind so stark eingestellt, dass man jede Türe im gesamten Hotel hört.  Die sogenannte Terasse war nicht zu gebrauchen, da einerseits der Lärm aus dem Lokal sehr störend war und andererseits man aufgrund des fehlenden Sichtschutzes in der Auslage des gesamten Hotels gesessen ist und jeder alles mitbekommen hat was man gerade macht und redet. Die Zimmer waren grundsätzlich Sauber wobei man hier und da schon komische Flecken gesehen hat (Lichtschalter, Sitzbank). Bei der Bettwäsche wird gespart, sodas beim schlafen das Leintuch runtergeht. Hygienisch ist das nicht wirklich. Im Allgemeinen würde ich das Hotel als Kinderhotel bezeichnen, denn in den Zimmern rund um uns waren mehr Kleinkinder als in einem Kindergarten. Dementsprechend hoch war der Lärmpegel und umso geringer der Erholungs- und Wohlfühlfaktor. Die Nacht verlief sehr unruhig aufgrund von Lärm und zufallenden Türen. Von einer angeblichen Schallisolierung haben wir nichts bemerkt.

Das Frühstück war brauchbar, jedoch bei weitem nicht so gut wie hier bewertet. Das Frühstück findet nicht im Lokal statt wo genug Platz und Licht wäre. NEIN. Es ist im Keller, in einem offenen und lauten Raum der zu allem Überfluss ungemütlich gestaltet wurde. Man meint zuerst es gibt viel Auswahl, dann merkt man das auf beiden Seiten der Anrichte das selbe steht. Man wird satt aber das war es auch schon. Von tollen Frühstück würde ich hier nicht sprechen. Die Heißgetränke im Speziellen der Kaffee (Cappuccino) war auch nicht besonders gut. Es hat mehr nach Instant Kaffee geschmeckt und die Maschine schaffte nicht mal stehenden Milchschaum.  Wer ein Frühstück dabei hat soll es nutzen, extra dazu buchen würde ich nicht empfehlen.

Der Check out verlief ebenso negativ wie der Empfang. Wir durften die Ortstaxe bezahlen und das war es. Es wurde nicht mal gefragt wie der Aufenthalt war. Aber mich hätte es mehr gewundert, wenn sie sich für die Anliegen ihrer Gäste interessieren würden.

Als Anmerkung möchte ich sagen, dass die Online-Plattform, auf der wir gebucht haben, uns mittlerweile Recht gegeben hat und wir vom Hotel selbst in der Zimmerkategorie herabgestuft wurden.  Wenigstens hat sich die Plattform bei uns entschuldigt und entschädigt. Von dem Hotel konnte man das...
