H&M Steak Restaurant Lipno — Restaurant in okres Český Krumlov

We went there quite early, about 6pm. There were only tables free inside, one of which we took, although it was quite warm inside. The menu looked good, although the selection of dishes for children is limited. In the end we ended up ordering our 9 year old a pizza, although we were told they only do one size - which is far too big for a child. The food took a while to arrive, which if it's being freshly cooked is ok. I had a steak, ordered medium rare and I'm pleased to say it came exactly as ordered - very well cooked. I ordered it with chips / fries. For an establishment with a good selection of steaks i was somewhat dissapointed with the chips - they were the long thin type I would expect from a burger chain - I would have expected Homemade thick cut chips to go with a good quality steak - not something they have boght in from frozen. My daughters Pizza got thumbs up from her, my wife's salad was also positively recieved, although somewhat small. We would eat again, though I'd probably just order Pizza, saving a good steak for a restaurant...

Prices for German tourits with a lot of cash? A decent restaurant with cosy interier and nice friendly staff. A wide variety of steaks, pizza (and somewhat smaller piseta with the same price tag as full size pizza) and pasta. They have clean toilets, outdoor seating and pizza oven decorates the inner part. Given the location and no high hopes, I would normally give four stars. And here come the unreasonably high prices that are even higher than in some posh restaurants in Prague and Brno. I almost never complain about prices, having the experience in the food business I know that good ingrediences cost something. However, this is not the case, the food is good and tasteful but just normal, the staff is not any better than in other restaurants around. And an absolute fail is that I cannot pay my CZK980 steak with a credit card. Only cash. And the weakest side of the meal were fries that seem to be the cheapest ones. Restaurants in this price level typically make their own fries of real potatoes and do not use deep frozen...
