Restaurace na Mole is a true surprise in South Bohemia. A beautifully designed building with an interior you’d sooner expect to find in the center of Copenhagen than on the shores of Lipno. The atmosphere is pleasant, slightly “posh,” but somehow it just works here.

The food? Flawless. Wonderful flavor combinations, beautifully plated, and topped off with that blissful silence after the last bite — there’s simply nothing to criticize. The staff is kind, the waitresses cheerful and attentive, and the chefs handled the evening rush with elegance. And the sommelier? He clearly mistook Lipno for Michelin-starred Prague — in the best possible way.

So why only four stars? Well, if the restaurant’s atmosphere were a movie, the manager would be the villain. Arrogant, disinterested, and wearing that classic “why are you even speaking to me” look. Someone may have confused Lipno with Soho, but that doesn’t mean you need Prada glasses to spend a serious amount of money here. We have ordered martini cocktail. With gin and olives. Classic cocktail. Well known internationally. We have received something else and when we pointed out that this is not what we have ordered we were told: “no, this is what you have ordered”. I had to google the recipe and show it to the bartender. I then was told that here in Czechia this drink has a different name. Still don’t know which one;)

I completely understand if the bartender doesn’t know how to make a certain cocktail - there is no problem : we will order something else. Just tell us:” I don’t understand what you want”. But to blame a customers that they don’t know what they are ordering is not a good customer service.

And I don’t think this was a language barrier either. The girls spoke good English.

Exceptional experience. Fine dining. Welcoming was on high level from the moment we have entered the restaurant. We had an anniversary and the desired table was prepared for us with flowers. Everything was spotless clean (one of the most important criteria for me). Atmosphere is amazing for the special occasions. Personal was very kind and helpful. Trying to recommend the best for you. Food like at the Michelin restaurant- deserves special praise. Delightful!!!! Of course I have read the reviews before and I have to disagree with all low rated reviews.
