My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Pension Bird's Nest on June 2-3, 2016. Roman greeted us at the door and showed us to our room. The room was huge and ran the entire width of the building. We had plenty of space to open our two carry-ons and suitcases. Our room was clean and looked newly renovated. It contained all the modern amenities you could want; mini fridge, safe, TV, free WiFi, and air conditioning. There were plenty of electrical outlets to accommodate the charging of all our electrical gadgets. Our bathroom was spacious and included a shower, jacuzzi tub, bidet, and a toilet (inside its own separate toilet closet). We opened the windows in the bath and bedroom which created a wonderful cross-draft of fresh air for nighttime sleeping. Pension Bird’s Nest also has secure off-street parking immediately behind the building for those traveling by car. Although Pension Bird’s Nest has large rooms, its total accommodations are limited to 8 or 9 people. This creates an atmosphere if intimacy and privacy. The pension’s breakfast was delicious and contained a wonderful selection of fruits, meats, cheeses, and cereals. We were provided with made-to-order coffee and crepes with our breakfast. Roman’s customer service is excellent and he provided us with maps and tour booklets for area sightseeing. He has a basic command of English and supplemented any complex communication with the use of Google Translate on his smart phone. He really went the extra mile for us when he phoned Punkva Caves and made a reservation on our behalf. The tour sold out quickly and we would not have gotten tickets without his help. Using his personal car, he also gave us a brief tour of important downtown locations (tram stops and points of interest). While we were waiting for the tram the next day, he gave us lift to the center of the city. The tram stop is about one or two residential blocks from the pension and travel time to the city center is a reasonable 20 minutes. Before departing, Roman gave us the opportunity to sample some delicious strawberries directly from his garden. Pensions Bird’s Nest offers friendly customer service and super accommodations. Read moreUnfortunately we stayed at this hotel only 1 night. The Birds Nest is fantastic! Rooms are first class and also the whole house. It is full of beautiful glass and china, very glamorous antique furniture. But the rooms are very modern, bathroom with the spa, shower and bidet. There is a balcony (not in every room) with a gorgeous view. ||The pension is in quiet area but walking distance to the city. ||The pension is run by family and the lady must be the best cook in Brno, if not in the world. She welcomed us with home made cookies. Cookies...it doesn't give it a justace. They melted in our mouths. Also breakfast was full of home made sweets and we had a lot of great food.||The gentleman. Owner of the pension let us stay as long as wee needed and even let us to have a shower at 4pm on our checking out day.||If in Brno, do yourself a favour, stay...
Read moreI chose to spend here 3 days because of a business trip! I loved how convenient was the location, quiet and at the same time very close to transportation and shops. The one suite bedroom was amazing, nice decoration, very clean, the bed was good, the view was amazing from the balcony. Also, while rooms are very modern, all the common spaces such as entrance, breakfast area, etc., have an aesthetic of old years which I found lovely. The breakfast was good, also I appreciated that every morning they offer a homemade sweet. Additionally, the girl in reception is very kind and helpful! I would definitely recommend this place during your staying in Brno and I would happily...
