Hotel U šimla — Hotel in okres Karlovy Vary

Had a short stay there during the International Film Festival in Karlovy Vary, but this place is definitely worth to spend there longer time. It's a very nice and cozy hotel with golf facilities and a good restaurant. Our room was spacious and well-furnished, bathroom was good as well, everything's made of wood and well decorated. Moreover, it featured a small terrace where you can chill out after a long day with a drink.||Except above mentioned restaurant there is small bar at the reception, wi-fi worked well and the overall impression of this hotel is very nice. The breakfast served was pretty basic, but still good. ||The only downside is the pretty big distance from the city center, so it's hard to get there without a car. Nevertheless, they offer a free parking if you come there by car, which is definitely worth mentioning. Otherwise there are couple of bus stops nearby, so it's not a big deal to get to the...

Visited the restaurant for a dinner with my family. Although it was Friday and the place was recommended to me by locals, it wasn't busy at all. You can sit outside, but the smokers can make it very unpleasant, so we opted for inside. We liked the interior design and I uploaded some pics. Food was good, but not great. Corn on knob for example was overcooked. We had four different meals, but we most enjoyed the dessert, fried strawberries coated in beer dough with ice cream. Service was just standard without any extra effort that could make the place great. I'd return there if having a chance in future. It's easy to park outside...

The only star I’m taking for the cleanliness and view… The toilet wasn’t washed, when we asked to wash it, our request was ignored. The view wasn’t perfect either. We’ve got a room on the ground floor with a view to another building. It was also quite cold in the room and there wasn’t any heating, but it was September, so understandable. In general, spacious room, good wi-fi, nice bed and breakfasts. The girl at the reception was helpful and warm welcoming.
